Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Fable Legends flying under the radar

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6446246

So many of us have missed it, but the Fable Legends previews coming out of E3 have been just about universally positive, and often extremely positive.

Full credit to Ryuu for the link - but its well worth having a look through some of the previews if you're interested in what looks like a fairly new take on the RPG genre!

I think it would be getting more attention if it didn't have the fable name attached to it. But I can't wait to try the beta this year

its interesting just the way they showed imo ehh was a little corny
but good thing that its better than what was first shown of it

Bets:

(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

Raichu's First Series:

First RPG?

First Fighter?

First Racer?

First Shooter?

First MMO?

First Horror?

Official Ni No Kuni Fanboy:

Familiars Captured:37

Game Beaten: 2 times almost

Times I got teary during some scenes: 3

I thought some of the idea's seemed interesting, but to be honest it kinda came across to me as a new IP that they decided to slap 'Fable' onto so it sells better.

Yeah I really cannot decide if the name Fable is going to help or hurt it after Fable 3 and Journey.

Its funny, aside from Journey all Fable games have been great - they just overhype and over promise on them!

Its too corny, I wish it had some eastern influence and din't look like western fantasy cartoon/story.

Fable Heroes didn't do the franchise any good either. :( I liked 1 and 2.

Fable Legends slightly interests me because it's the first time Lionhead have bothered to revisit anything that remotely resembles their earlier work since they got literally stuck on Fable for the last decade (this somewhat reminds me of Dungeon Keeper).

I read a pretty scathing preview of it a few weeks ago after E3 (that I can't seem to find now), but I'm glad to hear the other reviews are positive. I like Lionhead. I just wish they weren't stuck on Fable all the time :( (Yes, yes, I know they have 8 people making a new IP).

Ya I've noticed not a lot of people are talking about it, and those who are seem to mostly be giving it shit for not being anything like a normal Fable game.

I'm actually really excited for it through. Looks like a lot of fun, and I can't wait to play dungeon master against my friends xD

Probably IGN's.
