Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo should buy Crytek

With Crytek's Engine, Nintendo could dust multiplat graphics

I mean with Crytek's Graphical skills and Nintendo's Game Dev skills, this acquisition would ascend Iwata to Newell status.

B-B-But... PC Master Race E-Penis... How will we benchmark if all our Benchmarks are Nintendo exclusive?

(Granted there are other games but go along with it buzzkillington)

Capcom... Crytek... May the age of the Great Spending Spree begin.

Crytek would be a much better investment than Capcom. Even Nintendo doesn't know how to get the most out of their own hardware.

Nintendo and Capcom games running on Crytek power. Sounds like that would print $$.

I expect Crytek's technical skill would be somewhat wasted on the WiiU... :p

It would be interesting to see what they could do though. They've pretty much always built their games around high power gear, so working exclusively with low tier hardware like like the WiiU would be a pretty big change.

I feel it would be a future investment. Have them building the future system, one built to lead gaming to the next level.

Got to spend money to make money.

But as Jizz Beard said, a day when Nintendo exclusives set the standard for gaming visuals will be a very weird day.

If i were to buy Crytek I would only keep the Frankfurt, Austin and UK studios and shut down the rest way too many employees.
