Glad to see that so far the majority agrees Mario 2 was a piece of crap game.

Mario Sunshine by a mile.

I love Super Mario 2 USA (doki doki). I mean, I'm glad SM3 returned to the series' roots, but having received that game here in NA made for a different experience and introduced new characters and items like Shy Guys and Bob-ombs into the Mario universe. Plus, playing as the different characters was fun.

The "real" Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan (The Lost Levels) is the only Mario platformer I don't like and I'm so glad we weren't subjected to that game here as SMB's sequel.

Since I'm assuming that Super Mario 2 in the poll is the US version, I voted for Sunshine as the worst.

3D land
its is average at best and mediocre for a mario game

some how they managed to fix everything in 3d world.

It was also the first and last Mario game to abuse those damn invisible coin blocks! I don't know what was Miyamoto thinking when he designed that game!

Of the ones listed, Super Mario 3D Land was the worst.

New Super Mario Bros U was worse, though

Mario Sunshine. If you were to include NSMB games, NSMB 2 looks pretty dull, though admittedly I've never played it.
