I don't know, Mario Kart 8 is pretty sweet.

I'd say Mario Kart 8 is easily better looking than both of those games.

Xenoblade X looks like Xenoblade running on the Dolphin emulator, which looks like most PS2 games running on the PSX2 emulator.

It must be really bad if Nintendo cannot surpass GameCube games from 2 generations ago, those that looks better than all the ps2 games.

You missed the parts that mention emulators... ¬_¬

His claims are nonsense, the detail, texture resolution, shaders, etc in X are way beyond Wii/PS2 games, even with emulators to up the resolution.

I'm gonna throw a curve ball here and say I honestly think Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is not only the best looking Wii U game now, but the best looking 8th Gen game.

That's an interesting observation.

While the clay aesthetic is merely mildly appealing to my eyes, I can see how its novelty can be gorgeous to others, and I commend HAL for trying something different. This is one of the things I love about Nintendo, they have games that look like clay, yarn, paper... the creativity is awesome. Much more interesting than every game trying to look realistic.

I know right? Nintendo needs to step it up.

Plenty of GCN games look better than those. Especially SotC, it's framerate is disastrous.

Wind Waker alone drestoys all of those.

I think they're both pretty ugly. Particularly the characters.

So I'm going to say no.
