Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony lowers The Last of Us: Remastered price, refuses to give people a refund (UPDATE: Sony has said they will refund customers)

I pre-ordered through Amazon. I wonder if I'll get a price adjustment, or if it's just for the digital version.

Amazon has it listed as $49.99 as well.

All online stores, Amazon as well, have a policy to automatically lower your preorder price. They also guarantee that in case of price increase you don't need to pay more than your original preorder price.

I'm certain you'll get it at a discounted price.

Sony is definitely not the "white knights" ps4 fans make them out to be. They already lied about it being ps3 only, then they price it at $50 (clear money grab), then they won't give people who preordered at least a $10 refund. I'm sure people will still say it's alright because it's sony.

Sorry, but how is $50 a clear money grab? I doubt you even know who Sony's taurget audience is with this game.

EDIT: Never mind. Just took a look at your post record. You're obviously a Microsoft lover and Sony hater.

Not a sony hater at all, but sony gets a pass for everything. Imagine the backlash if this was MSFT. What I mean by the $50 is that there should at least be an upgrade program, they were working on the remaster at the same time as the ps3 version.

I'm not even gonna try and argue with the blind hater you are. Being a hater is shit, not even being able to see it yourself is even worse.

Sorry about bad wording, I wasn't judging you personally, but "you" as people who do so. Perhaps a bit of a translation problem.

On other points, I won't add anything except that I'll never understand those people...

I honestly wondered why in the world you can now preorder The Order or CoD, but obviously there is a market for it, and I don't have to think about it anymore.

No worries. I wasn't offended.

You mean like the backlash youre giving Sony right now...... How is that any different than a Sony fanboy syaing the same thign about Microsoft, so youre doing the thing you hate to get back at who exactly?

That's shitty. Good to hear they lowered the price though.

Why did you leave out this part when you copied the article?

This is really a double-edged sword. On one hand, people should have read the fine print before willingly pre-ordering the game so early. On the other hand, it’s bad practice NOT to give people a refund. If Amazon and other retailers can do it, why can’t you?

I’ve pre-ordered numerous games on PSN and in some cases have received a refund before the game was available despite customer service telling me it wasn’t possible. Hopefully Sony looks the other way just this once. I’ll tell you one thing — this has made me rethink my position on pre-ordering games on PSN months before their release date.

Also how about we wait for an official statement by Sony and not what some guy on the customer service line thinks?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I believe his argument is more "Companies should be criticized to the same degree for similar actions," since he didn't explicitly say the criticism Microsoft gets is uncalled for.
