Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise

A lot of people bought the wii.  And you can be damn sure a good portion of them wouldnt have if it was the same price as the competitors..  Go back another generation and you have the ps2 demolishing the more expensive systems..  Point being.  People like cheap.

The "casual" Wii owners don't need a new console. Most of them won't ever even know the Wii U exists
And Nintendo's games won't appeal to anyone outside of their current market space. It's in a similar position to that of the gamecube.

XB1 will struggle but the US will be enough to put it above the Wii U, regardless of whether it ends up being #1 or #2 in the US

2 weeks of decent sales after a major game comes out gives people big heads I guess :P

I think the battle for second place=the battle to become the secondary console. Personally I think the Wii U will win that fight, because if you are to get two consoles you are more likely to get ps4+Wii U or Xbox One+Wii U, than you are to get PS 4+Xbox One.
Just look at the Wii (and no, I don't think the Wii U will have Wii-like success,) it became the secondary console of the 7th gen and won 7th gen. Now, I hardly think the Wii U will win 8th gen, but it still think it has a fair shot at finishing in 2nd place.
