Forums - PC Discussion - Steam Summer Sale 2014 (Last Day)

my experience with this steam sale so far.....

Needless to say, being broke makes for easy weekend plans of nothing.  :)

I have a few bucks aside for one game I have my eye on and thats rise of nations that just came out on steam... one of my favorites.

Too soon for Rise of the Nations to be on sale.

You'll have to wait until the Winter Sales.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Guys, only 2 full days left. It's time to get rid ofthe doubts and start buying.

I almost bought Train Simulator 2014. Thank God I didn't! That game looks boring.

Oh, and now I only need summer card nº 7 to have them all. And, just if someone needs them, I have 2 spare nº 6 and a spare nº 10 card as well.

I looked into it too thinking it might let me design a transport system... as far as I can tell though the whole game is just driving trains, the only reason I can think of for the games popularity is that this guy bought multiple copies:

Don't forget that you can also build your own stations! But yeah, if it were a bit more like Sid Meier's Railroads... Wait!

Railroads is also on Steam! And is on a 75% sale now!

From the amount of negative reviews by users about Train Simulator and the legendary amount of DLC I think it's a safe bet that everyone should avoid it.

It's supposedly for train enthusiasts. So if you aren't one of those, it isn't aimed at you. But if you are, this is apparently a great way to not spend thousands of dollars on an actual train set (assuming you are only buying the DLC for trains you want). Those things can get crazy expensive.

I'm still waiting for the Unreal series to get a even more of a discount.

Basically the only thing I really want left,

They had a voting of Unreal 3 against something like 2 days ago but it was in a situation to where it was basically impossible to win.

Me being a train enthusiast or not has nothing to do with why I do not recommend the game. The game has an overall negative reception because it's expensive, and unfinished along with the developers flat out refusing to fix issues wrong with the game. There are better trains sims alternatives avaliable on Steam.

Last day everyone. Buy now or forever* hold your wallet.

*Until next sale.
