well i'm not really sure, since I know practically nothing about this I'm using this site called "can you run it" that tells you what games you can run, the gpu is the video card right? it says I have AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics

Yea, gpu is video card. Your card, HD 6320, is equivalent to Intel integrated graphics 3000. You can look at this hierarchy chart to see where your graphics card falls compared to others. On the store page for games they list the minimum requirement for gpu's and other specs. If your card is higher on the chart than the minimum requirement gpu, it should be able to run the game. There are exceptions though when the game is not optimized well. Sites like canyourunit also give a rough idea whether you'll be able to run the game.

Damn, I'm so tempted by so many GOG offers, but my backlog is already too big (although since I changed the GPU and caught the opportunity to fix my desktop PC and I'm not forced anymore to just play what my old laptop can run, I started again shrinking it, finished Thief III in a few days, enjoying a lot Gothic 2 + expansion, the only one where I'm still quite lost after reinstalling it and patching it in way that works satisfactorily with Win 7 and a 16:9 screen is Morrowind).

Well, id had to happen sooner or later. I've made my fist purchase: Saints Row IV.

And as a punishment, I got the Summer Card nº 6, which I already had

So, if anyone is interested in that card, just let me know so we can trade, I still don't have the nº 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 summer cards.

I'll trade #2 and #10 summer cards but I already have #6.

I'm gonna be set for months after this sale

From Steam
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Gone Home
Hotline Miami
State of Decay
The Walking Dead Season 1
Fallout: New Vegas
Brothers-Tale of Two Sons
Splinter Cell Blacklist
Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC

I'll also be getting Rayman Legends if it is voted for.

From GoG
Splinter Cell Original
Papers Please
FTL

So far nothing that really interests me!
Still hoping for a good offer on DS2.

Does anyone think the Call Of Duty games will get cheaper?

Black Ops 2 in particular? (mainly want to play some zombies)

I know steam is usually tight on discounts of their games.

@ JEMC, HigHurtenflurst

thanks! I was actually about to ask for games with similar settings

What are your machines specs? (specifically GPU as the rest is usually ok)

I am only using the integrated HD4000 of the i5 (mobile version too) and it runs the majority of games up to 2008 and if it's not too "bleeding edge" it runs more recent games. (Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will run, but not ME3 or ACIII)

The laptop I had before this had an Intel Celeron processor and whatever the integrated graphics was called on that... and it still runs Portal 1&2 and Half-Life 2 episodes (though that was definately pushing it as it had to load areas a lot)

well i'm not really sure, since I know practically nothing about this I'm using this site called "can you run it" that tells you what games you can run, the gpu is the video card right? it says I have AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics

Yeah I use that too, but I don't take the main result as the final say (for example it says I can't run the Mass Effects or Assassin's Creed games I have played)

If you let it inspect your machine and look at the video card section it sometimes puts a no entry symbol on it, but this is sometimes just because your video card is not officially supported. Within the video card section it also has subcategories that your card may pass (Video RAM, Pixel Shader version etc) If your card passes all the subcategories the game will probably run. (I did have a problem with the Bioshock demo on my last laptop though... not sure if it was just an issue with the demo or if the game would have done the same but it just didn't start. I haven't tried it on this laptop yet)

If I am understanding the hierarchy green_sky posted correctly then you should just be able to run Mass Effect 1&2... and Assassins Creed, but I am not sure about AC2.
When you read the first part of the video card section it lists some of the minimum cards for Nvidia & AMD/ATI.... if the minimum card is at the same level or below yours on the hierarchy then it should be ok (as green_sky said, your card is on the same level as the Intel HD 3000 so it's easy to find)

-------

The Half-Life 2 episodes and both Portal games though should run just fine, they don't have super high requirements even though Portal 2 released in 2011.

For the next 4 and a half hours World of Goo is $0.99, SW: Battlefront 2 is $3.39 and Bastion is $2.24. Pretty good values.

I must say, that I'm really tempted by that 75% off in Saints Row IV.

Anyone knows which DLCs are worth it? And by that I mean the ones that bring more missions and all that.

I dont know, but just discovered the season apss is $2.50 so I am getting it regardless

Since that post, Steam has, in all it's immense wisdom, gifted me with another nº 6 and nº9 cards. Now I have 1, 4, 6(x3), 8 and 9(x2). I hate Steam sometimes.

You already have nº6, but what about nº 9?

@starcraft: Yep, that's exactly what I end up getting: Saints Row IV + Season Pass. The rest of the DLCs looked to be about clothes and weapons and other bits that don't add much to the game.

Please excuse my bad English.
