Apple genuinely would be best IMO and they have the cash to throw at this. They probably wouldn't interfere too much beyond upping the level of quality control and changing which platforms releases are on. Crucially for them it locks in Ace Attorney for them, they could force ports of all Ace Attorney games in glorious Retina resolutions for iPad and iPhones. I think it makes most sense for Apple to try and take it.

Sorry, Resident Evil fans and Monster Hunter fans, but Ace Attorney is more important ;)

I hope this happens, just to see all the mobile haters that fill these forums get what is coming to them for trash talking what is the best way to play games on the go. These people praise Ace Attorny Collection coming to 3DS this Fall for $30, yet on iOS (For like 2 months now) you get the same package for only $17. I... just don't get it.

The meltdowns would be glorious.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Give Capcom to me. I'll fix 'em.

I'd say MS for the practical reason of securing more 1st party content.

The console war reason.......asset denial ;P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

None of these companies have the capital to buy Capcom. It would cost in excess of $1B in order to complete the takeover.

To put this in perspective when Sega acquired Atlus is cost them $140M.

I think it is unlikely for Sony to acquire them as they are currently restructuring in order to become profitable. Whilst Capcom would be a boon to their PlayStation business, Capcom in itself is not a very profitable company and would need significant restructuring.

It makes way more sense for Nintendo to acquire them, they are a dedicated games company and a lot of Capcom's IP fit well on Nintendo platforms. Nintendo have experimented with this in the past, they signed an exclusive deal with Capcom during the Gamecube era but these failed to turn around the console.

Microsoft acquired Rare for $375 million and have so far not really seen the benefits from it. The studio have struggled or their titles have been ignored. Whilst the acquisition might boost the Xbox brand in Japan, their conservative approach towards the Japanese market with the Xbox One suggests that is not their priority.

If Amazon were to acquire them it would be a real statement of intent.  Amazon have been slowly buying up games studios and this acquisition would secure the rights to the AAA titles Amazon would require in order to launch a console.

Ppl need to drop the Capcom is for sale thing, all they did was remove the takeover policies, maybe cause the Capcom shareholders feer the company may loose value in the near future and theyll need to sell, but right now if someone wanted to buy Capcom they could but it would cost a retardely hughe amount of money.

If Nintendo do what did with Monolith Soft will be beautiful.
