Forums - Gaming Discussion - Whats more powerful, PS4 vs Xbox One + cloud + 10% June SDK + DX12? - Your opinion?

Which console is more powerful?

PS4 Standalone 565 90.11%

Xbox One w/ Cloud + 10% June SDK + DX12 62 9.89%

Total:627

its up to the developers to use the extra 10% without the kinect.

It still cannot beat the ps4 hardware.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5

you forgot that MS has the best developers in the world. team ice is soo jelly.

Who cares?

Do you like the games? Then buy the games.

Do you not like the games? Then don't buy the freaking games.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Someone please enlighten me on this cloud talk. Is the cloud only available for certain games? What about when someone plays offline, is there proof games take a performance hit?

Titanfall Offsetted AI to the cloud, allowing for a greater resolution. This was before the 10% extra space was freed up, and obviously DX12 is not out yet.

AI is not even CPU intensive let alone GPU intensive.

Well we don't know how intensive titanfall's AI was, but they did make a big deal about it being in the cloud helped it increase the resolution

Unless the AI was extremely complicated, like those managing traffic in New York, AI that is taxing is badly programmed. The scale of a single game is very small comparitevely, Bot AI and matchmaking AI are realistically the only things they were utilizing AI systems to do, and the fact that they offloaded it to the network is proof that it wasn't very intensive. As for marketting PR about how Titanfall couldn't be made without the cloud, that's bull.

Fact is if there AI was taxing enough to hamper the resolutions/performance of the game it had terrible programming to beginning with.

you're only allowed about the resolution when XB360 Xbox One is winning.

The goalposts have have jet engines on them.

Servers being used for AI - besides latency issues, who says it's only possible using an MS owned server? Just a thought.

What's more powerfull an apple or an orange? Depends on who throws it.

Looking at the shape Xbox One has more mass so it would hit harder, but the PS4 is more aerodynamically shaped.

But based on the amount of bloated air Microsoft added to the Xbox One brought in through the cloud, the final impact of an Xbox One would be similair to an explosion, and adding the external power supply as a second weapon it should be more powerfull.

SDK upgrade does not make the Xbox One more powerful :) So if it takes this into consideration the PS4 is more powerful and nothing will change that. Now the SDK can optimized a lot of things allowing the game to look the same on a lesser powerful hardware.

As far as the cloud, possibilities are infinite actually so I would say that if Microsoft manage to really use the cloud (and they already demonstrated that it is possible) in some games then while console is connected on the internet, the Xbox One may become more powerful as a whole (the console hardware + some cloud processing).

An already small real-world performance gap will get smaller.

But more powerful hardware is still more powerful hardware!
