So, GTA and CoD should became exclusives as well!

It looks like an awesome new IP. I really don't think it being exclusive to WiiU is a big part of its appeal/buzz.

knack is a boring platform game with a boring character but why do you ask about knack in this thread?

if people saw splatoon in another conference not nintendo NO ONE will be talking about that game.

that is why this thread makes total sense

Because as much as you suspect what you think about Splatoon because it's a Nintendo game, some suspect some here think that way because they are hating on Nintendo or at least can't appreciate something that comes out of Nintendo, dismissing it as another "teacher's pet" game that gets attention just for being the teacher's pet.

That's clearly not the case with Splatoon, and a short look at the game makes it clear that it shows tremendous potention in gameplay as well as very cool character art. The concept is novel and fresh, and backed by Nintendo as a retail game is sure to be a complete experience, because people can count on Nintendo for that, they have a track record.

No one is hating on nintendo, people just think splatton dont realy deserve the attention that is getting.

Yup, fun games don't deserve attention

Games must be serious and utterly boring to actually play, what is important is violence, cutscenes and HD graphics, nothing else!

I agree with you completely, this is why the XB1 and PS4 conferences were so great, not a single game involved fun.

It's a creative and original shooter, unlike those on the XBONE and PS4. The only other shooter that stood out to me was Evolve, and that game also gets a lot of attention.

Besides, you've only seen one mode on one stage. Bit early to say it looks like an ESHOP game...

you seem stressed, calm down, people have diferent tastes you dont need to be so mad because other people have a diferent opinion.

Not stressed, more sarcastic and mockulatory

People in this thread need to calm down! We only say that it recieves more attention for being a ninty shooter, there is only two-three people in this thread that say that the attention is undeserved

more attention=/=undeserved attention

And besides, does every game have to be ambitious, deep, dark, gritty and have a Hollywood like story? Why can't games just be fun?

You didn't realise yet that dark, gritty games can be fun.

Games don't need to just be fun when they can be fun, have a great atmosphere, great story, epic scale really.

Splatoon was the least interesting upcoming shooter shown at E3.

Evolve, The Order: 1886, Destiny, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End all look a lot more interesting and fun.
