Let's predict this. As we all know the handheld market is shrinking at a rapid rate. Even though the 3DS provided great sales last year, it still didn't meet predictions and wasn't anywhere close to it's older brother the DS. Could the 3DS be the final Nintendo handheld, or will the brave the odds and make another one? You guys tell me what you think will happen.

Didn't Iwata or Miyamoto mention they had the development of their next-generation Handheld underway not too long ago? Either if that's true or not; I'd say yes.

Also, stop comparing the 3DS to the DS. Comparing anything to the DS makes it look worse than it really is. Compare the 3DS to the GBA; you'll still get a bad showing from the 3DS in that way as well, but it proves more of a point.

yes. I am confident that even if the portable gaming console market completely shrivels up and dies at some point in the futuren we will see at least one more handheld from nintendo. Doesn't sound like they are planning on giving up any time soon but are trying to rethink their strategies (according to their beloved president)

Im surprise you say this when you do it with WiiU games all the time with wii+ds? 

This. Im not lying when i say if Nintendo released a HH that only played Pokemon for $199 and it would still sell 5mil+

The 3DS has sold 40 million units already. That's already enough units for there to be a next gen version. Now their 9th gen handheld might be their last.

I dont see why wouldnt they and give the 3DS some more years.
