Yeah but you are arguing Sony will have a huge holiday based on multiplatform games. Sony will move more software I guess, but I dont know how multiplats will help Sony or MS move consoles. THis stuff is also available on PC for people that are graphics whores. You should focus on exclusives to make your arguement.

Nothing to argue given their sales up to now them having a great xmas is a mere formality.  Check how watch dogs bumped PS4, even a multi plat thats on every system did it.  Destiny will do far more and start the build up to some massive holiday sales.

PS4 is the defacto console of choice, software and hardware sales show it.  multi plats will drive its sales while X and U will be the ones desperate for an exclusive to help em sale.

yep.

I'm sorry but destiny is on 4 different consoles, as is far cry, gta5, battlefield. I don't see how they could push a ton of ps4's. Maybe destiny because of the bundle. X1 will have evolve, COD. Also halo, sunset overdrive, forza, project spark, dance central for exclusives.

So is watchdogs...Have you not been paying attention? PS4 right now IS by far the most popular console fro third party games, and dsting has heavy advertising, and a biundle, it will sell a tonne of PS4's.... Third party software always have sold more consoles then exclusives, I dont't know why people still don;t seem to understand this.

Well, to be fair, the only system seller you said is Destiny, which is not a Holyday title to be fair (but is going to help for sure).
As someone who didn't like shooters and already played GTAV, all you have for me is LBP3 and driveclub. But LBP 3 is indeed coming for PS3 so...

I will have fun smashing, but good luck to you guys.

big multiplat games move consoles,it will move more on ps4 cause its the IT console this gen,it will probably look and play a little bit better if the devs don't go for parity, making it the definitive version.. and if it gets marketed like its a exclusive with a little bit of extra bonus missions/skins,it will shift quite a bit more than the xone, like watch dogs. these big multiplat games will sell like its exclusive even though they're not. unless ms pays for exclusive bonus missions/skins in multiplat games, theres no reason not to get the game on the ps4 imo

So in summary, Sony has all players covered this holiday season with a bunch of 3rd party multiplatform, cross-gen titles and a couple of exclusives.

And this is different from the X1 how?

Different exclusive,s different systems, one system is more desireable thern the other.........not rocket science. PS4 also has by far the biggest indie support, best multiplats.

We're talking holiday software lineup here (or pretty much the rest of the 2014 lineup) for both consoles... if you swap LBP3 and Driveclub for Halo MC Edition and Sunset Overdrive, the PS4 has literally the same software lineup as the X1.

"Best multiplats"?  Seriously?  That's like saying the water in my pool is wetter than yours.  Games look and play 99.9% identical on both consoles save for a couple of exclusive XBL / PSN features.  And the PS4 versions games have the same bugs as other versions like the game breaking loading bug in Watch Dogs.

Wow, someone is in denial.

@ OP

Sony definitely has this holiday on lock.  Nothing that MS announced is going to change anything.  Not even the $399 One seems to have helped MS for this June, at least going by Amazon and Gamestop Bestseller lists.  For the hour, Amazon has the PS3 SKU at #8 and the Destiny bundle at #10 (this will greatly help Sept sales.)  The $399 Xbox is only at #43, while the Titanfall bundle is at #52.  Gamestop has the Destiny PS4 bundle at #18 (again, this will help Sept sales) and the regular SKU at #53.  The $399 SKU has dropped incredibly, as it was a few spots ahead of the PS4 at one point, to #100.

What's amazing is how high the PS4 demand is.  The Destiny bundle was only announced a few days ago and has already passed both One SKUs in Amazon's Bestsllers for June.  And if the PS TV keeps doing well, it too will pass both SKUs within a day or two, as it is only 4 spots behind the $399 One.  Sony was smart to go for the most powerful console.  This, combined with some exclusive advertising, makes multiplats more like exclusives in terms of pushing HW.  And because the gap is so wide, PS4 exclusives will competely outshine One exclusives in the next year or two, in terms of graphics.  Just look at the Order and Uncharted.

yes, but I think 3rd parties are kind of low quality compared to Sony's big studio output (Killzone:SF, Infamous:SS are the two best looking games I ever played even Knack looked great!)

I tried AC:IV, Battlefield 4, they just seem like they are running on a different system :-S I can't imagine what the XB1 owners go through...

When it comes to consoles of the home variety Sony seems to understand a library of big name high quality titles with wide appeal catering to many different demographics is the best way to sell the machine.

4 of the 6 games you named are available on PS3/4 X360/1. Not making a good argument.

Watch Dogs is on the XB1 and the PC. He IS making a good argument.

The PS5 Exists.

So their plan is a bunch of multiplats, a cross gen franchise sequel game I have no interest in, and maybe Driveclub if it isn't delayed again, and which most people will play for free anyway. Guess my plan will stay on waiting it out on a PS4. Maybe they have a better 2015 plan.

PS4 Watch Dogs 1,856,387
XOne Watch Dogs 898,780

yahh really matters not they are on X1.

Watch Dogs gave PS4 a massive boost while X1 only got a minimal increase. The difference was even bigger than the software sales one.
