Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony's holiday plan (Big WIN)

After seeing e3 i've noticed one big thing and it's that sony has all players covered this holiday season. It's gonna start off with destiny, battlefield, GTA:V, and farcry4 marketing and exclusive stuff for the mainstream core gamers, driveclub for euro and racing fans, and little big planet 3 and disney infinity marvel marketing for family and kids. Looks like a good plan to me and I think Sony might KILL it this holiday and break 360's/wii's records. Any opinions?

edit: regarding Halo MC, if Destiny gets as big as it's hyped up to be than Playstation has that base covered as well ;)

Possible. Especially considering the condition the XOne is in. People are already choosing the PS4 over the XOne and it's only going to get worse/better. (Depending on if you like Sony or not :P)

Yeah Sony will have a huge holiday this year no doubt. Despite what many say it was smart for Sony to save most of there exclusives for next holiday because this holiday is packed with a lot of huge 3rd party games. Sony made a great decision and got exclusive marketing deals for a lot of the major games this holiday basically guaranteeing to sell there consoles and probably sell the most copies of the game.

They always been good at having a wide array of games, seems just another day at the PS office.

4 of the 6 games you named are available on PS3/4 X360/1. Not making a good argument.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Only two of those are exclusive, and it seems like both XBO has a better holiday lineup. We will see what happens (and the whole "pretend exclusive" factor will come into play), but its certainly not a huge victory gamewise...

PS4 Watch Dogs 1,856,387
XOne Watch Dogs 898,780

yahh really matters not they are on X1.

Was thinking the same thing, I could easily make the same OP about MS with the exclusives changed.

People are underestimating what these exclusive marketing deals got with big games like Far Cry 4 and Destiny will do. This is why Watch Dogs sold so much better on PS4 and why Call of Duty always sells better on the 360.

Yeah but you are arguing Sony will have a huge holiday based on multiplatform games. Sony will move more software I guess, but I dont know how multiplats will help Sony or MS move consoles. THis stuff is also available on PC for people that are graphics whores. You should focus on exclusives to make your arguement.
