It can't be accounted for in the May numbers. I highly doubt the WiiU was selling at 8.5k until the last TWO days of the month.

It makes a whole lot more sense than the Wii U selling 100k+ the first week of June.  It only averaged 12k in April, not surprising that sales would be somewhat depressed with a new bundle coming up.  The only other sales data we have for week two of MK is the UK and Japan.  Both saw sales of MK drop by more than three quarters, and Japan saw hardware sales decline (no HW numbers for UK, but with such a large SW decline it seems unlikely they were up).

How much do you think the Wii U was doing in the first three weeks?  Because there is only 35k to go around after removing the MK bundles.  Unless the Wii U sold zero units in the first 5 days of the MK launch week, and zero non MK bundles after launch, the weekly average will be pretty close to 8.5k.  Even if it only sold 5k non MK bundles in week 4, that is just 10k per week the first 3 weeks.  That 30k week 4 would also mean a 123k week 1 of June if you believe the 4.1x is for that week.

That's still not really on point though. We never HAD a week post launch.

Reggie's quote is of the week following release, we had two days... and his quote was well INTO June. Yes, the WiiU could have been pulling hypothetical 8.5k units but the numbers at current as we see them for May are of little relevance to a quote that came in the following month. You're looking at: (Two days of end of May + five days in June)/3rd Week of May #s = 4.1x.

The two days of May are, what, 25k+ given the bundle figures? Let's round it to 35k. That's already ~4x the number of our hypothetical 3rd week. Then that means that the WiiU in June sold zero units if the third week was only 8.5k to match with Reggie's quote. Anything more, his number would have been bigger.

How is PSV can do 56k?

Must be mistake.

Borderlands 2 bundle and 2000 model.

Then why is vgchartz's not agree? :)

They screwed up. They even had BL2 numbers, but did not reflect it to HW.

Week Ending 10th May 2014

nds-2]Borderlands 2 - PSV[/url] - 1 - 48,711 - 48,711

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Because vgchartz new methodology for making their estimates involves half a dozen howler monkies, a lawn dart set and a case of mescal.

X1 77k confirmed by aquamarine

Shocked at those PS4 numbers.

I knew Xbox One and PS4 gap would be huge this month (2.5x - 3x more sales) and that Xbox was down from last month but I thought PS4 was slightly up over last.

Ah well it happens

Quite disappointing.

Shitty numbers for everything, except Vita since it had little to no expectations

I really don't know how these are shitty number for the PS4. If it sold 185k in just one territory in what is usually a slow month and sold around the same/more in all of europe then it is avaraging around 400k-500k worldwide. I really can't imagine how that is a bad thing.

It sold 199k last month with little to no new software. This month it had MLB, Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs and it somehow sold less?

That's terrible.

It would be terrible if this was a holiday month.  However, we're heading into the slowest time of the month, the summer.  I mean, just look at how the One was doing for the first few months of the year, compared to how it is doing, now.  It barely outsold the 360.  The PS4, on the other hand, only sold ~20K less than the 360 did during May of '06.  That's pretty damn good when you consider that the 360 was $100 less than the PS4, and was on the market without any competition from the PS3 and Wii, as they hadn't released, yet.  No, the PS4 is doing quite fine.  The other two, that's another story.
