My issue is that I was explaining why people were happy at the time, based on VGC numbers that said happiness was based on.

If you want to compare with my beliefs as to sales: I myself thought it was good, but I was thinking it was WW, not one region. I was wrong and misunderstood the numbers to start with, but in the end it could come out as a broken clock still being right twice a day. The Wii U could still put up a WW number passing the Xbone for the month could it not? If that's the case then I could still be right in my belief that the Wii U would lose NA to Xbone but still edge it out.

Yes, in all likelihood, for that week the Wii U is still higher than the Xbox One.  My issue is that in this thread you were trying to change history in regards to expectations of Wii U sales.  You weren't calling those people fools when they were happy about VGC numbers.  Only after the real numbers turn out to be lower did you change your tune to expectations of VGC numbers being foolish and much lower numbers being impressive.

Man you are playing chess with a pidgeon, don't bother.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Microsoft said that they "look forward to the NEXT chapter of the NEW generation". Does that mean that Microsoft is planning on releasing the Xbox TWO next year or the year after?

It seems that this sales analyst is right again. Haters gonna damage control like mad. Let me get my popcorn.

Well I came here this late in the piece expecting more than just WiiU numbers. I wonder if we'll get anything. MS might stay quiet if xb one really tanked post the kinectless announcement. They really should have waited until the final Friday in May to announce.

That remains one of the weirdest decisions in console history. Advance notice of a new cheap SKU a month ahead of e3? At the time they said it was due to having too much to show. But in the end it was just multiplats and CG trailers for the most part (to be fair, so was Sony obviously).

Would have had more impact and less self inflicted damage by heavily promoting it at e3 with a free game. "We're happy to announce xb1 is available NOW for $399, and it includes a free digital download of your choice of exclusive Xbox titles!" Boom. That would have been a billion times smarter.

I've read about how several companies intentionally try to kill one of their products because they have a newer version ready for public consumption in a short amount of time.

As counter-intuitive as it may seem, Microsoft's best option is to sabotoge their own console so that they don't screw over even more people when the inevitable Xbox TWO gets announced next year or the year after. All signs are pointing to this possibility, especially Geoff's tweet quoting MS's words today.

Because things are not going as Microsoft wants, they will probably force a new generation too quickly like how they dropped support of the original Xbox in just 3 years.

Nintendo needs to go third party nobody is really interested in buying there consoles anymore and there franchise s just don't move console s anymore

You can't even write a proper sentence and you expect your comment to be taken seriously. It's THEIR (belonging to them) not THERE as in go over there and you don't pluralize a word by leaving a space followed by an s.

Apart from that you're still wrong. LOL

You shouldn't criticize someone else's English since its not everyone's first language.
