no... multi are the worst. fanboys are too much linked to brand it's true. but in a way it's something logical in the market. they are like ultra' in soccer. multi instead are nasty to the market. continuing compare with soccer: they are like people that come to see all matches of different teams. and claim themself as soccer sxpert sice they can see many matches. but it's not true because you don't have to see all team's matches to understand soccer game. so the multi. they claim they are more expert than others because they have ALL consoles. I found that this is an arrogant way. so multi are nastier than all kinds of fanboys. fanboys are less dangerous than multi for gaming market.

I always thought of Multi as neutral really. Although I do hate how snobby they are saying they can afford all three. That's worse than being a Fanboy, but not really being a fanboy. It's just snobby. I still think Sony's are the worst. They are usually the type that are insecure about themselves so they make up for it by playing the most violent games they can find. Even if the non violent, cute, puppy loving ones are ten times more fun. Blue3 you are obviously a Sony Fanboy, tell me why do you think that I like the Nintendo Wii more than the PS3? Try and give a detailed answer. Keep in mind that I am 20, a boy, and I know pretty much all the pros and cons of each console.

Your "Atarians" are also somewhat anti-Nintendo themselves being as Nintendo took over the console world from them. You find them on the SERIOUS retro-kick on various websites on the internet. Atari Age Forums and stuff like that. Homebrew gamers, arcades rebuilders and historians in general. Some play the Plug & Play titles seen in Radio Shack and other such places. Some of them accept Nintendo and some of them accepted Sony. You'll find some "Boxians" were Atarians as well or raised around an "Atarian". XBox is the first American system of prominence in decades so some of XBox's base comes from this.

"Amigans" are similarly analagous to some of the snobbery of some of the "Boxians" as well. "Amigans" are more found as PC Gamers which also crosses over into "Boxian" territory. But PC Gamers of this type actually look down on all console gaming as inferior just like the "Amigans/Commodorians" did over 2 decades ago. Curiously some of this type actually like Nintendo's Wii because it's so different from other consoles.

"NeoGeons" are like Atarians in some ways. They probably built up old arcades they liked and relive their consol arcade days through emulation on the computer. They float in and out of territory not loyal or disloyal to anyone just looking for the kind of gaming experience they want to recapture.

"3DOans" either did like theabove mentioned groups or dropped out of gaming altogether for other hobbies.

"NECFxans" are like NeoGeoans mostly and can be like 3DOans.

What happened to the "Odysseyans", ALKO. I'd like to hear your take on it.

This seems to be the mantra of the regular Sony fanboys. "You can't afford a PS3 so you pretend you don't like it"

why don't you just accept that some people own a Wii because they prefer it? I could afford a PS3 without any problems but I don't have one. Most people just aren't interested, and Sony has to realise this and do something about it quickly.

See, the typical Sony Fanboy reply...  There are 3 big games coming out on it that look good.  The rest are multiplatform, I have a powerful computer in my house (3 to be exact).  A Wii and a 360.  and a brother I talked out of buying it. 

My reason for liking the Wii.  Simple, I like what Nintendo is doing.  I think Reggie put it best.  If all you want is next generation, then you are in the wrong place. Because what Nintendo is offering isn't just next .. instead, it's absolutely new.

I search long and hard for games that are clever and well thought out.  I can enjoy the FF games of MG, but they aren't taking any risks at all.  They actually designed a console which can't afford TO take risks.  What interest would I have in playing a system like that. 

Plus I hate Sony as a company.  They just pull so much shit.  I am afraid to even buy Sony anymore.  I am afraid it might install viruses on my products.  I know Nintendo have done things (way back in the past). Price inflation in Europe (I am not sure but I think it was only in like 2 small countries there).  Which they actually gave up before they were caught, then charged an outrageously large amount of money for it. 

Nintendo is famous for having great products.  Have you seen the new DS lite.  The thing is like a bomb shelter.

And quite honestly, that is the only response I ever get from any of the Sony Fanboys... I am Nintendo Fanboy, but atleast I defend my side well.  Your one liner defenses... 

DarkD...what did you expect someone to say?  If you prefer the Wii then enjoy it.  Your question wasn't exactly fair because you are directly comparing the Wii to the PS3, when many of the reasons to own a PS3 are included in the 360.  If you don't want blu-ray, a more reliable console, a more quiet console, free online play, Home, the exclusive PS3 games, then you pick a 360 over PS3 for its exclusive games and Live.  If you already have a Wii and don't want to play all of the PS3 exclusives, then you get a Wii because it has unique gameplay.  The Wii has about 2 great games so far (Zelda and Paper Mario), but you can play around with the controller and play some mini-games (warioware and most of the rest). 

The real question is 360 vs PS3 to me.  I prefer the PS3's package.  I am willing to spend more now to save later, and I don't want the RROD.  But most importantly, I'd rather play the PS3's exclusives.  However, I am probably getting a Wii as well.  I don't think Nintendo's online service is good at all, third parties apparently don't like it, some game types won't play as well on it, the graphics are terrible compared to 360 and PS3, but it's a fun system for groups of friends and people that don't play video games all the time.

Frankly, I am not concerned with why you prefer the Wii.
