For those of you who claimed PS4 had better graphics than Xbox One, that simply is not true, at least not anymore!

November 2013:

Ghosts PS4: 1080p

Ghosts Xbox One: 720p

May 2014:

Watchdogs PS4 900p (gap decreasing)

Watchdogs Xbox One 792p

November 2014:

Destiny PS4 1080p? (or perhaps less)

Destiny Xbox One 1080p

As you can see, as Microsoft has released their new dev kits there is essentially no difference between Xbox One and PS4 graphics.

You used a sample from three games. They would have all started developement at around the same time, so the release date doesn't make that huge of a difference. Destiny will still look worse on the xbone (remember other setting...). Also, there's the HARDWARE perspective. You can say the xbox one will catch up all you want, but your forgetting that that makes no sense on a machine level. The ps4 simply has better hardware in literally every area.

another loss for PS4 & Sony,so many now,i wonder when it will all relate to sales and the gen 8 lead slips away

It won't. Sony has this gen.

we are fanboys and only deal in extreme absolutes of stuff that has happened yet,its been loss after loss for sony since well since they powered ahead in sales,it just can't carry on

Well, if that's your opinion, keep it up, but if in a years time someone links back to your posts to make you look silly, don't say I didn't try to help.

thank you for your consideration, being in a toasty thread should blend in if there is an embarassing back to the future bump

Destiny aint no looker.

Lets not pretend Destiny looks bad.

Most importantly, its an indication of progress being made by developers on the X1 hardware.

That's alright, my pc has been doing 1080p 60+fps for 2 years now, yet I still love playing games on my Nintendo 64.

And that's what it's about. But, I'm sure someone is going to say, yeah bbbbb but, a pc costs 200 billion dollars, so that doesn't count! Then go on to say how the ps4 is so much better than an x1, even though they both pale in comparison to a midrange pc. A great game is a great game no matter what! Even on the n64! (I loved the n64) so either people need to  include the real graphics king, the pc, or stop talking about graphics because both consoles aren't very powerful. The gap between the ps4/x1 is very small, smaller than playstation fans think. They are clearly in the same league, so stop acting like the ps4 stands apart(not you), it does not. The pc, stands alone graphically. Screw the price argument. It's lame.

Exactly which is why it is ofetn excluded. The PC is a different animal when it comes to gaming: more open, less standardized, not singular in purpose, and the cost is a major factor. Not to mention the ease of use etc. etc. etc.

Its apples to pears imho. Why don't we bring in mobile devices, including phones and tablets, then as well in the conversation?

Wow, the PS4 power has not increased since launch, games are still stuck at 1080p. Once the power of DX12 and The Cloud are unleashed by developers, I expect XB1 to easily surpass the PS4. 4k XB1 vs 1080p PS4! You know it is coming!

I love every time one of these threads pop up. Using a few games/things to generalize something is always entertaining. Good job.

It looks ok, is no Quantum Theory or The Order.

I dont know about the graphics being better than the PS4 but I had no doubt that the X1 would sooner than later match the PS4 in that department. So the next thing will be Sony fanboys will say " Oh yeah, well my game is at 60fps and your is only at 30!" Na,na,na,na! Even though the human eye can't discern anything more that 24 fps. That is why movies are shot that way. Sigh.....

If your eyes cannot discern more than 24 fps, I honestly suggest that you go and see an eye doctor, because you might have a big problem there.
