It could be Link's father. Like in the Star Trek reboot where the opening makes you think it's Kirk, but it's really Kirk's dad.

That or possibly Link's big brother. Either way I can see a plot element where this blue guy is killed by a bad dude and the younger green clad Link needs to rise up and succeed where his predecessor failed. And he'll succeed, because he wears green and has a horse with a white mane.

Of course it's Link, i think he is just joking with everyone.

Besides, he is just a male character with some... female signs... just like Cloud Strife has.

Honestly before seeing this I was sure it wasn't a girl. But now I do kinda see the chest. The lips are pouty and feminine. The bone structure looks feminine. There is blush under the eyes, and even the eyes themselves look very feminine. I was doubtful before but now I'm sure it probably is a girl. Also look at the symbol on the chest, there is definitely indentation there and it goes into a "valley" Definitely evidence of boobs/cleavage. I was born in 84 and used to trying to find boobs on static filled channels so I know em when I see em. 

That's shadowing. Watch the video and other screens and you can't notice it.
