Forums - Gaming Discussion - E3's are F***ING boring..

The internet kills E3. Leaks take the steam out of the announcements. But yeah, i'm always holding my breath for a huge announcement but never seem to get it.

"Bloodborne/Project Beast was LEAKED on neogaf so we already knew about this game. Any excitement or amount of shock that could've been had from this game was instantly taken away beforehand when it got leaked."

God, I know, they should have cancelled it the moment it leaked. It's more important to surprise people at a staged presentation than to make good games.

My personal philosophy--and I know this is crazy--is to be happy when games I think I might enjoy are shown. Serious, fuck the whole idea of getting more excited for exclusives. I don't give a tinker's damn if someone with another box can play the same game. That does absolutely nothing to my own excitement.

I almost always enjoy watching E3 and I'm almost always annoyed when I read all the complaining afterwards.

Lol

I said that this is MY OPINION! NOT the opinion of everybody

but yea Project Beast was leaked and we already knew about it.

The main multiplats that were shown, we pretty much already knew about. Tomb Raider was like the main one we didn't know about.

Lol no

Why are you looking only for exclusives?

I wasn't but they were the main things i was looking for when watching each respective conference just to see who "won".

So when looking for the "winner" of E3, multiplat games dont count

Had Bloodborne not been leaked earlier, would this thread be made?

I'm sorry you don't like video games. Each conference was deserving of an 7/10.

Lol i never said that

What exactly do you personally look forward to as E3 approaches? Do you look forward to seeing brand new games, information on already announced but unreleased games, or both?

I personally look for both BUT about 70% of that would be seeing brand new games.

When PS4 was 1st  announced, i only mainly saw Killzone Shadowfall, Knack, DriveClub and Infamous Second Son,

X1 was Dead Rising, Forza 5, Ryse, Killer Instinct(before i learned it was free to play), Crimson Dragon and something else that they had

Wii U was New Super Mario Bros U and maybe Zombie U

Do you wanywant to know why i only seen these games? Because they were BRAND NEW games built for these BRAND NEW systems.

I can play watchdogs or destiny on ps3 so i didn't see them as being much of a reason to get a new system.

So as i'm looking forward to E3, i'm looking forward to BRAND NEW GAMES for these systems

So if i watch a Sony E3 gaming conference, then i'm looking at the main consoles which would be Vita and PS4 and if you dont have BRAND NEW games for these systems that cant already be played on PS3 then..

Same for Nintendo and MS

I probably wouldn't because Bloodborne reminds me of DeepDown and i was very excited about DeepDown before i learned that it was free to play.

We would've atleast had 2 "shocking" games that nobody really saw coming for the Sony conference. LBP3 and Bloodborne along with Tomb Raider and those indie games

I liked the Nintendo showing enough and MS would've been the same

I would've said that this E3 was OK and i would've just "hoped" that it  would be slightly better next year

I look for both. I'm not picky, just want to see things that'll be fun. New games announcements can be exciting, but I don't want there to be a sole focus on what's coming out in a year or two, but what's coming soon.

You're unreasonable if you expect the same number of new games shown at E3 as a lauch year of a new console. They're new because there literally hasn't been a chance to properly show it earlier.

I think peoples expectations are set way to high every year for E3 and each year they are never satisfied. I think all 3 (Nintendo, Sony and MS) had a really good showing. They all showed gameplay, trailers, and gave us an insight of all the games coming out this holiday and especially next year for there system. Which is what they should be doing. Not every conference has to have a "megaton super surprise that will melt your face off". Aren't there enough games coming out this year that look satisfying enough?

I think part of the reason I'm not disappointed like you are is because I didn't expect any 'bombs' or 'megaton' reveals because they rarely ever happen.

But i cant be unreasonable because if we look at the PS3, Sony had more games out in 2007 than it did during its launch if thats what you mean

The only time i want a company ro reveal their games is when it's scheduled be released WITHIN the next 12 months. So if something is revealed at E3 then it better be released before next E3.. That's how i'd prefer it to be

Ps4 launched with 2 exclusives and 2014 will have BARELY seen 3 PS4 exclusives this year because one of them(DriveClub) is only releasing this year because it was delayed

PS3 had 4 exclusives at launch and it had 7 exclusives released in 2007. You know where i'm going with this..
