FFX HD has sold over 500k on Vita alone. Not sure how they couldn't have made money on the platform.

Analagous to Ubisoft not making WiiU games, I'm sure if it's worth it to release a game out on Vita. 

Only ONE game has sold over 1 milion copies.

They do not hate PSV, they just don't seem to bother. That's two different things.


More than they expected to. Don't have the link handy, but they confirmed that not so long back, which was why FFXII HD or something was expected to be announced for PS3/Vita at E3 in similar fashion to the FFX/X2 remake.

VG Chartz even has it at 450,000 with no reliable western sales figures, FFX/FFX-2 standalone sales (as they were also available separately in Japan) or digital sales so it's definitely one of the better selling Final Fantasy single SKU releases and it was merely a port of a PS2 game.

Accordingly to VG Chartz, the difference was less than 2:1 between PS3 and Vita. Which puts it in a better position than most PS3 games compared with 360 counterparts :p

Look, "more than expected" can be just a PR statement, if I'm not wrong Ubisoft said the same thing for the Assasin's Creed game, yet they didn't announced another iteration for PSV.

I don't have anything against the PSV, but, just can't just deny the state of the device. It is not idiotic to skip PSV, as it is not idiotic to avoid porting the new Assasin's Creed to the WiiU.

Nope. Lots of new FF14 content that looks fantastic, FF Agito localization, and FF Type 0 localization.

Square Enix focused on FFXIV instead of talking about DQVII?

Square Enix was a powerhouse for the PSP. They and Rockstar in my opinion made the PSP an incredible handheld but they don't seem to want to have anything to do with the Vita. It is pretty offensive when you consider they bring a spin-off Deus Ex title to mobile devices but not the Vita and crap like this that was developed for a handheld straight to consoles.

This reminds me of Capcom moving Resident Evil: Revelations from 3DS to consoles. A dumb move too and a move that graphically would have looked more impressive on the Vita than consoles.
