Forums - Sony Discussion - I hate to say it, but Sony E3 was terrible!

E3 was crap period, but there are games to look forward to on all consoles.Just they come out next year. I also want Dark Cloud 3, but GT7 is a ridiculous thing to expect when GT6 just released. I thought there would be game play for U4 and Bloodbourne which is all I was expecting to see.LBP is far from overrated and will be great just like the others which was a great surprise. Can't wait to play it this fall.

The outrage from gamers is more equivalent to

A 10 year old boy who throws a massive tantrum in a store full of people because he can't get the most expensive toy - EVERY DAY. Its not realistic, it has no bearing on the past and it really is annoying to everbody.

Those examples are different entirely.

If you can't see that complaining about POLICIES that have NEVER been done before and RESTRICT the customer in ways like never before

are different from

Sony not showing a specific game or two that you PERSONALLY EXPECTED at a yearly conference even though history shows that the conference is NEVER up to people's expectations

So now you are saying - people have to like the show even if what they wanted to see was not there.

Wouldn't you be disappionted if your favorite games were absnet?

I saw the show again and yes i agree it was good but for me it was disappointing.

My favorite games weren't there and there was no Virtual Reality demo that should have been there.

So again as i said before i don't think the show was bad.

It it had many great games and sony had a lot of things to show.

Because none of my favorite games i was expecting to see there were absent for me personally it was disappointing.

It deosn't mean i think the show was bad show it simply wasn't interesting for me.

I agree here and they focused to much on third party and that boring long winded talk about PSTV/NOW+ was uneeded. They also should have had U4 gameplay. They showed Bloodborune gameplay in private to the media with over 30 minutes, but did not even show the public 30 seconds.Sony's presentation design is very bad. They need better coordination and focal points.MM,Quantic Dream,Sony Bend,Team Siren and a host of other developers should have been there with games to tease at least. They are all working on something.Or they could have shortened the show which ended up takin away from what was actually announced.

Not a single of my favorite games was at the press conference. THere were however some great NEW games that caught my attention and piqued my interest.

Not every game people is going to be at E3. THat is as unreal an expectation as it can get and to judge a conference due to it not showing your particular favorite is about as biased as one can get.

You are right though, every one does have their own opinion, but that doesn't mean they are equal. The bias is blinding.

You can't reason with fools.

They expected Cerny to come down from the heavens with new IPs in his pocket and AAA games that  they personally wanted. They excpected their nipples to lactate and drip on the floor from what would be shown. They talked it up for months and believed in rumours and "insiders" and spent hours discussing BS with people they've never met. They meditated intensely on potential megaton after megaton believing that it would be possible.

They did all of that even though there was nothing to ever suggest that e3 would what they thought.

Many of them have never watched an e3 conference before.

Like I said - fools.

LOL I am not sure that most people expected all that. At least I didn't, but I did expect more exclusives to be shown with gameplay. They had Bloodbourne gameplay but did not show it.They did not do an updated walkthrough of DC or show a live demo of The Order. No footage for the first Suda 51 game which was announced lat year, but had another trialer for a second game.No Deep Down updated gameplay, no MM, no games like HotShots, Heavenly Sword 2, Dark Cloud 3, Ape Escape, Syphon Filer, or any other sequels to plug in between bigger releases and no U4 gameplay. All or any combination of that were reasonable expectations. I mean some of these developers or franchises have not been seen in years so they should have somehing ready by now.
