To those saying that this will move a ton of consoles too, you really have to look at the history of remakes to see that there is zero chance it makes any huge impact.
Wind Waker - Gamecube 4.6 million / Wii U 1 million
Halo 1 - Xbox 6.4 million / Xbox 360 2.25 million
God of War 1+2 - PS2 8.7 million / PS4 2.3 million.
These remakes time and time again have proven to only sell anywhere from 25 to 40 percent of their original games sales. Even if the Halo Collection exceeds those numbers and does 45 percent of the originals, then we are looking at about 4.8 million in lifetime sales and that is the absolute ceiling. Now you have to take into account all of the other new games that will be released during the holiday season (Super Smash Bros mainly), and Microsoft is just setting themselves up for failure.

Who cares it's a rerelease of games that people have already played a ton of. Halo Anniversary was the exact some type of thing and it just crossed 2 million in sales and was only $40. This collection will be lucky to sell 4 million and that is if it does REALLY well.
This is coming from someone who plays Halo atleast 2 or 3 times a week too. I am not rushing out to spend $400 on a brand new console so I can play games that I can ALREADY PLAY. This is just one of those fan-service things (Like when Nintendo did Wind Waker HD), that looks cool and shiney but will not make any impact at all for Microsoft.

No, that would be around 16 million considering the 4 games in one.

I play 1 online all the time, it's called Halo Anniversary. If I want to play 3 and 4, I just play them. Seriously you guys are freaking out over having Halo 2 redone. Like I said I think it's a neat thing but as Xbox's BIG holiday title it's pathetic. Nintendo got trashed last year for Wind Waker HD, and then had SM3DW along with it. I said the same thing about Nintendo then that I am saying about Microsoft now. It's lazy and it's going to blow up in their face. People are not dropping $400 to play old games.

You just said this game has the potential to sell 4 million units.
Then say it will have no impact
Those two statements contradict one another
Four completely remastered AAA games for $60? Definitely a good deal. I wouldn't buy a Xbox One for it, but if you have an Xbox One you'd be fool not to buy it. Unless you dislike Halo. I thought they would of charged that much just for Halo 2 Anniversary alone.

you cant really compare those though ill just use haloce. haloe cea was just the sp and a map pack for reach which didnt have a strong following. this is halo collection with every mc game the frist time all those games can be played on one console but not just that it has og halo 2 multi which cant be played on consoles any more this collection is a halo fans dream all the best multi games in one place
No offense, but it's not that hard to get #1 on the bestsellers FOR THE HOUR. Especially, if you just opened preorders the same day for a decent sized game. Now, if it stays there for a few days/weeks, then we have something. Or if it moves into the top 20 for the month/year.
