Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Was microsofts e3 ruined?

I would have rated it an 8.5 instead of a 7.5 if they had revealed Halo, SO, Forza, etc instead of ahead of time. If they had saved the price drop and some other things it could have been a 9+

It was pretty good, just no megatons. Solid 7/10 for me.

Microsoft had some amazing games coming into e3. halo collection, scalebound, crack down, phantom dust could all be considered amazing games to announce. Then there were returners like sunset overdrive, halo 5 preview, spark and etc. and some pre announced games like forza horizons 2. But the thing is, many people were already expecting a lot of these games and there werent many surprises because of the leaks. Did the leaks ruin it for you? it was an 8 to me. but without the leaks it couldve easily been a 9. Especially if they waited to announce some of the games and the 399 x1

As much as we all love gaming news, I have to agree not just about Microsoft but about gaming reveals in general.  The leaks are extremely tiring, I'd love to go into an E3, or a Gamescom, or TGS completely blind to what's about to get dropped on us.

Ive been working and watching a twitter on it, i will be glad to see it tonight after i get home from the sony e3 pres at the movies.

I want me some damn Halo!!!

I expected more tbh... Maybe it was due to hype + pre-e3 leaks but nehh! I guess I am in the Sony + Nintendo Camp for this generation

youre deciding that because of xbox's first e3 after release? without seeing sony's?

Well... I am very likely to buy a ps4 or x1 this holiday and imo, if both Sony's and MS's e3 are similar in rating and have the same third party games, I would pick the ps4 cause even though the x1 costs $399, the ps4 is still more powerful and the multiplatform games will technically look better on it anyway... Plus most of the Jrpgs are more likely to come to Playstation than Xbox so there is that too so either ways, unless Sony really bombs e3, I will probably buy a ps4 this holiday season

Why not pick the PC? Its going to have majority of all of the games announced for both systems.

Already have a PC that I play majority of my third games on, its the exclusive games that interest me, specially the jrpgs that usually come to Sony consoles

Would you agree that JRPGS sell better on Nintendo consoles? If so, why doesn't Nintendo consoles see more of these games?

As for exclusives... I don't see a ton of them for the PS4 or the Xbox One. Kinda sad really.

You can't deny the surprise element was fucked pre E3

it's so simple :

high expectations

high delivery

but no megaton

halo collection is a megaton. 100 maps! all 4 games! 1080 p 60fps! halo 2 multiplayer! but it was leaked..

I'm sorry, but the bar has been set pretty low if I can go to Disc Replay or something, pick up Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo CE Anniversary for $30 total or less and play those games right now. But put them all on one disc and charge $60 and it's a "megaton", leaked or not.

its a megaton because halo 2. halo 2 has its multiplayer servers closed. and its the best one to many. Second upgraded graphics. third it would probably be more than 30$ maybe 40$. 4th it has all the DLC and good luck tryna find halo 4 and halo 3 dlc for less than 30$

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

QUESTION: Didnt microsoft trademarked a couple of new game software like sonys Killstrain and entwined? I was really expecting more new IPs

Well... Most Jrpgs from Gust, Altus, Namco Bandai, Sega, Compile Heart and etc are on ps3 and most of them are exclusively on ps3 so I think eventually, the ps4 will get those kinds of Jrpg... Also FFXV, MGSV (I know thats not a jrpg) and KH3 will look and perform better on a ps4 so I think the ps4 will have a better selection of jrpgs than the X1 will

And I do agree that jrpgs sells on Nintendo consoles although idk if its better or not and idk why Nintendo consoles doesn't have more but if they did, it would be great! The more games for my wiiU, the better!
