Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo's Digital Event only 30 minutes long?

Its not so important how long is it. Much more important is how you use it...

This was expected. Anyone knows how long t he other pressers are?

MS' conference is 90 minutes. Sony's was two hours last year but it will probably be shorter now. EA and Ubisoft typically have 60 or 90 minutes depending on the year.

Everyone's conferences usually have fluff, and Nintendo directs don't, so a good event is possible if they use their time wisely.

Also, Twitch gave Nintendo an hour and directs never turn out to be EXACTLY 60 minutes or 30 minutes.

At least I hope Nintendo amazes us...

I hope...

30 minutes of incessant game trailers is quite a bit actually. Chances are though that they'll talk for about 15 minutes and do wacky pointless sketches that fans will plaster all over various forums. Still beats 30 minutes of sales figures though.

I could've sworn they had already announced their main "presentation" video as being far longer than that.

Are they showing all their games at the digital event, or will some be shown later in the show? (Doesn't the schedule have a few slots put aside for "Nintendo game" and "Treehouse"?)

Won't the Digital Event be different from region to region? E3 isn't really directed at the Japanese market, so there's (theoretically) no need to have as much information in this Event for Japan. It's much more about the Western markets. Given the broadcaster in the West (Twitch) has a 60 minute slot, I'd expect a broadcast lasting up to 45 minutes or so.

I expect it to be closer to an hour, but they may just reveal games during the event and go in depth using the other venues, such as treehouse and the "new game reveal" segments shown on the schedule. We could see a rapid fire 2 minute trailer of Zelda, then Mario Maker, STEAM, Animal Crossing U, Metroid and a couple others and be done.

My guess is that the digital event will be used to talk about games we know little or noting about, while the Treehouse Stream will expand on the things we do know about.

30 minutes of Cranky Kong

Did you just leak Donkey Kong Country 3: Revenge of Cranky Kong ?

About damn time Cranky gets his own game! ;)

DKC3 was actually Dixie Kong's Quest on SNES.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
