Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I'll tell you why Nintendo fans are so excited over 1 week's worth of sales.

The Wii U was written off as a flop and essentially dead since November of last year, so it's kind of exciting for Nintendo fans to suddenly see the Wii U acting like the quiet kid that snaps on the play ground. For one week at least, it's holding the Xbone down and dropping turds in its mouth, while mean muggin' the PS4 as it sits on the jungle gym.

The timing of this erruption literally could not be better.

This is the most exciting thing to happen in the Wii U's lifespan, and it occurs right before E3, one of the 2 most important times in the entire video games industry, when Nintendo has fully embraced the concept of DLC, which is a good way to extend the life of Mario Kart's push, and has a decent looking lineup in the middle of an Xbone/PS4 drought.

E3 excitement paired with the Wii U's first signs of life is just helping the hype train build steam. If the Wii U stays close to Sony again this week and Nintendo doesn't drop the ball at E3, then get ready for a far more zealous Nintendo crowd, not only here but over the entire internet.

No wii u was saved!!!!! last Christmas too

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

What we need after e3 is a game for the wiiU... Not a big one but a good one (in like early July) so it can sustain a decent level of sales through out 2014! I really hope we get some awesome games announced during e3 but we will see

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

shin megami x fire emblem should NOT be a holiday game, it should release late early or summer. if they try to release it anytime after that, the sales wont be that good. PLUS i really want to play it ASAP! more fire emblem now!

What you said makes absolutely no sense. /Insert Billy Madison clip here

Don't remind me, all the people jumping the gun back then, especially about japanese sales. "It's saved","It's has japan locked now","sales will never drop back to 2013 levels"... yeah, that all worked out perfectly.

To the Nintendo fans that think the Wii Us destiny is changed now, seriously, wait a couple more weeks before proclaiming something like that. The more you expect now after one week, the harder you will be disappointed.

Nintendo fans? Of course, why not.  whatever experimental is and the people who share is view? Absolutely not. But that really doesn't address what I said. This guy made 0 sense. He is a round square.

as a vita fan, i would be very excited if it could post almost 200k in any non holiday week.
