Have you pledged something to Shiness?

Yes! 15 24.19%

No! 26 41.94%

I do not like Kickstarter 21 33.87%

Total:62

The game looks fantastic, and I want to back it, but really, it's already reached its goal. Why would I pledge my hard earned cash simply so that the console peasants can get their grubby little hands all over it? I think... I'll just wait for the release...PC only. *smirk*

Because by backing you receive the game (+ get your name in the credits) for probably a lower price than what it will cost at launch.

Additionally Ynnis Interactive will be able to make a better game by receiving higher funding.

So if the PS4 stretch goal is reached it will be possible to "order" the PS4 version when you back?

Thing is I'm not at all interested in a PC version.

When the kickstarter funding is over and you have pledged at least $20 you will be contacted and asked for what platform you want the downlad code.

That is how it usually is.

Ok. Thanks :)

Hmm, a difficult dilemma. Save money and gain fame, but also help the consolites in some small way, or pay a little extra without betraying my values and my race.

I don't see why they can't release PS4 and Xbox One versions after they release the game on PC. Kickstarter is they're getting guaranteed sales, so they atleast getting enough money to make a profit.  They can put some of that money back into funding additional versions of the game once they start getting additional sales outsider of begging.... err the Kickstarter.

Regardless how good the product looks, unless it's already developed, I don't support Kickstarter because you have no guarantee over what the quality of the product is going to be.  You're just one of many people helping to make someone else money, maybe even rich, in return for something that could be good, but could also be absolute ass.

You pretty much preorders the game for $20.

Here are som examples on what you can buy in that price range on amazon.com:

Trine 2: Complete Story - [Digital Code]

NBA Live 14

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Angry Birds: Star Wars

Putty Squad

According to a comment left on the game’s Kickstarter, the folks at Ynnis “really want” to bring the game to the eShop. Currently, the company seems to be waiting on confirmation from Nintendo.

We have a lot of demands about WII-U and i can assure you we really want to do it! We just need nintendo confirmation first.

The streatch goal is $30,000 more than for PS4/Xbox One

There are at least 7 people working on this game for more than a half year.

$140,000 for six month and seven developers makes (if everyone gets an equal share) a monthly salary of $3,333.

You also have to minus the costs Kickstarter is getting from it as well which I'm not sure but I think is 10%.  That's still $3000 and it's not $3000 per person, that's $3000 per month.  It means they're making ~$18.75 an hour.

That's before even knowing how good the game is.  You have no clue how good this game is going to be.  It looks nice, but it could have an incredibly small world, the game could play like ass, it could be bugged all to hell.  No idea.  I'm not saying this game will be bad, but you're giving donations on an expectation that the game will be of any sort of quality.

However that whole $3000 a month doesn't account for the money they'll make after the game gets added to Steam.  Let's say it gets added to Steam for $20 and in its lifetime sells 100,000.  That's an additional $2,000,000.  Minus 33% takenby Steam and divided by seven it's $190,000 profit per person.

Rather than getting a loan and taking a risk, still having to pay the remaining amount back, they go to Kickstarter beg for money which they have no obligation to pay back and can make quite a bit of money for their product.  Look at the developers of Oculus Rift.  After being funded for the development on Kickstarter, they sold the company to Facebook for one billion dollars.  Congrats, you just made several people millionaires without having to take a risk of their own.
