I perfer the original Playstation much more then the PS2 because it had some of the greatest Jrpgs as well as some dang good platformers!

PS2 isn't in my top 3 to be honest and it's not it's fault as i owned a Gamecube and Xbox for almost it's entire life cycle but i have played alot of the PS2's best games.

I remember so many people who had a PS2 years ago. My favourite PS2 game was Buzz at that time. It was REALLY fun with friends. Burnout 3 was awesome as well. I still can't decide if I like the PS2 library more than the DS library.

Best ever selection of third party games for a console.

Still remember the Atari 2600 with great fondness. The first and still the best in my eyes.

Blazed the trail for all future generations.

It's certainly up there but to me only the SNES is better, the library is just that bit better. I think PS4 might better the PS2 as well if this generation lasts like the last one. Early days though.

Anyway, my PS2 slim (dunno how old it was when i got it but i got it second hand in 2008) still works but the controller broke unfortunately

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

I think I'm more partial to the SNES right now, since I've developed a renewed appreciation for pixel art and chiptunes.

I prefer the PSOne to the PS2 as well. Final Fantasy VII, FF Tactics, FFIX, Resident Evil 1/2, Silent Hill, MGS, were just more ... mindblowing for their time than their sequels and GTA was never my thing. I'd take the SNES over both though. Just can't beat 90s Nintendo + third party support.

Considering it has backwards compatibility, yes.

For me will always be PS1 because it hold my fondest memories as a young gamer. And because for me at that time, the magic of going to a store and buy a game, which was a rare occurrence of like twice a year, made me enjoy my list of few games even more. Even though now I can afford any game I want, it will never have the same magic as those times. So yeah, everyone has their reasons to love their consoles.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...
