I like the physical collection.

Some disc and case art are great.
I do miss the physical manuals that came with the games, but I guess it saves on resources.

I am fully digital this gen. I don't have to worry about switching out disc which is VERY convenient. Also, in terms of collection, I make enough money to where if I want to have a visual collection I can buy the physical version too. I did that with Watch_Dogs (which is only physical game I have) PS4. Still, even if I want a game for show, I don't want to have to put a disc in to play it. That is SOOOO 1999.

And I NEVER trade games in, I believe in intellectual property in it's purist form. I refuse to sell something I did not put in effort in to profit from. I appreciate companies that supply me with entertainment, not despise them.

I'm already all digital on my Wii U and 3DS. Digital Master Race.

I havent got a problem with digital. I do feel that digital games should be cheaper though by at least $10. We should at least get something for not being able to sell our games or share it with a friend. I think its only fair, Make $10 less from the gamer that buys digitally or not make a dime from the game that buys used.

I like Hard copies... I still play games that are over 10years old, I bet my digi games would not be here in 10 years. Because somebody would decide they didn’t want to support them anymore... also how about this, Internet service provider’s sux (cough comcast)... How about when they start making you pay for bandwidth overage?? A couple of games would push you to your bandwidth limit in no time if you also like to stream movies... or when your internet service goes in and out... Guess you can’t play any games to help pass the time except maybe the same ones you have on hand that you already downloaded... When everyone is blessed with a nice stable gigabit connection with no bandwidth limits and a grantee that all your content will be yours until you decide you don’t want it anymore then I don’t see digital over taking a hard copy anytime soon... Something that you can keep and play as long and as much as you wish and never have to spend another dime for it... Not to mention the fact that you actually own something you can let your buddy borrow without having to hire an attorney or pay a fee to lend it to them...( sorry for the Sarcasm )

Many people don't like them because you're not technically buying the game. You're buying a license to play that game for an indefinite (probably permanent) amount of time, and you can't sell them. But those are also the reason why digital games are generally cheaper than their physical counterparts.

I buy digital now because of convenience and price though the US psn store. The thing about being able to resell is a principle to me. If you purchase any physical product. Ut should be your right to do with it as you want. It is why i am still mad at microsoft even though i havent traded in games in nearly 5 years. I fear for further limitations down the road. I understand it and accept it with digital since it is not something you can move around and put into othe systems so as long as the consumer is told that they wont be able to lend it to anyone its fine with me. In the end i believe consumers have some rights to protect the value we get and when companies try to decrease that value because more money then i just get infuriated.

A Love Letter to Physical Games:

There is something special about the feeling of having a physical game. Even when I'm not currently playing it, all I have to do is look below my TV to be reminded of all the great times I spent playing it. And when I have yet to finish a game, it is always sitting there, staring at me, begging me to come back and finally be moved to the side where I keep all my completed games. And the feeling of finishing a game and moving it over with all the other great memories that now sit beside it is absolutely wonderful. It is no comparison when I just move a digital game to a new folder or delete it from my hard drive. Physical games give an extra boost to everything great in the game and serve as a reminder to all the great times I spent with it, and because of that, I will always choose physical over digital.

My reasons why i perfer physical:
1: I can resell my games and get some credit for them. I only trade in several games and only when there is some kind of extra trade in program. (50% extra in store credit) I cant do that with digital.
2: I would never buy a full digital game for full price. The only way for me to buy a digital game is if it is cheap.
3: I sometimes wait for sales on consoles and get games at good prices. Example is like Black friday.
I buy lots of games on black friday. One example was 2 years ago i bought about 11 games during BF. I spend about $120 in total (most were recent releases) I played them all and traded them in at gamestop(couple of months later). They had a 50% extra trade in credit, 60% for pro members. I got $220 in store credit for all those games so i won in the end. I got paid to pay every single one of those and that is something i do every year. Games that release after september are usually games that i buy during BF. That is one huge advantage for me and i obviously cant do that with digital games.
I bought thief digital for $30 and finished it. Guess what? Target was offering triple the value about a week ago for trade ins. They were gonna give me $40 for thief but sadly i bought it digital.
I would buy more digital games but at cheaper prices or if microsoft does make a way where i can buy/trade in/resell or loan digital games.

If the servers close what happens to the game you brought? I like to keep my games forever, I don't think Sony, MS and Nintendo are going to keep the servers open forever.
