Just thought I'd take the time to encourage everyone here to try a sip of Knytt's Underground. The game is wacky, large, and has a great control system. It's a 2D Metroidvania...kinda. You don't aquire new abilities per se, but you certainly learn how to use your existing ones in new ways. The story is a bit odd, but that definitely adds to the charm. And did I mention the game is gorgeous?

I've dismissed it before for some reason, might look at it again. Although I am looking forward to Nifflas next game, cave exploration like abyss but with an interesting control scheme to boot.

I bought it on black friday on amazon last year.

I know people dismiss it...it kills me.  I'm looking forward to their next game as well.

Finally got myself some Scram Kitty (can't say no to the eShop sale). Just went through the first five stages and the feel is platformy (awkward double jump mechanic) and less shooting (which so far has been curious, certainly not your regular twin-stick shooter). Maybe things get more hectic as you progress with power ups and bigger levels.

Last week I bought a bunch of titles from the second Super Indie Connection Sale,

and decided to post my experiences and thoughts here.

Recap of last week:

Played SteamWorld Dig until I found the second cave, the digging was strangely addicting. Guacamelee I reached the second city, but I'd prefer to co-op this game instead of going at it alone. Teslagrad is a puzzle platformer, it has no text, everything is visual; although the game stutters while loading sections. And last Swords&Soldiers, already played it on Wii, decided to go with the Gamepad controls and it felt kinda flash game, wasn't like that with the wiimote.

This week continued with Teslagrad, and the one hit kills certainly stop progression with the bosses. I already reached the top of the tower, but that next boss is always getting me. I needed some time off in order to start fresh, maybe he falls today?
I also got the awesome Metroid Prime Trilogy deal, only played the first part for a few minutes, but that start is promising.

Decided to not continue bumping this thread, since I'm only replying myself.

Off you go!
