Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Would you like the new Wii U zelda to be like A Link between worlds?

Hell no... I want a fully 3d Zelda for the wiiU and nothing less, no top down or other nonsense like that

Nice picture, but no, of course not :-/ .

Nope. We got Wind Waker HD to wait which is awesome in every way but we need a mature looking Zelda game now, in fact, some non Wii U owners might want that too.

So you mean like ALBW in terms of game flow and ideas, not graphics or perspective. I haven't played ALBW yet, but it sounds like I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it when I do. I'd like for Nintendo to give all the fans crying for non-linearity their game and see how they like it (I'm not one of them).

That is literally everything I want in a Zelda game, and I hope it turns out like this. This is the Zelda game we deserve.

No.

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

If it is how the game is made, with all that dumb non-linearity, then no. It should never be like that, the story suffer to much, because of the non-linearity, the game should stay linear for the sake of the story, we do not need Zelda becoming another Mario in terms of its story.

If its about graphics: Well I wouldn't really care, aslong as it looks good, and it is not all brown and gray, like in TP, I would like it.

COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

Basically, I'm hoping for a sort of combo of ALBW and Ocarina of Time in terms of gameplay and design. Put it in a sufficiently large world with lots to do and a nice modern presentation, and I'd be set to buy it Day 1.

Personally, I feel that non-linearity does not have to kill the story. Most Zelda games' stories focus on a few pivotal moments that still appeared in ALBW. Just spend less time on the central plot and more time on minor characters, sidequests, and the world, ala Majora's Mask, and the ALBW formula could still be used to tell great tales.
