Forums - Sales Discussion - 1 billion downloads for the Temple Run franchise!

I don't even know this game. Seems like I know as much about mobile games as the average mobile gamer knows about games like Arma.

Great game, downloaded it the other day.

Ditto.

It's pretty fun. Today it's just one more running game, but it was actually the first one and everyone just copies it. But I currently prefer Vector as the best in this genre. The sequels for Temple Run were simply unnecessary too.

Yeah, Vector rules. Too bad performance is so subpar.

I downloaded a long time ago and I might have played it for 5 secs before I deleted it.

had it pre installed on a tablet I had (and resold a while back) - no idea why anybody would start that game more than 5 times

Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

How much money did they make from it?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Holy crap! That's amazing!

I actually like the series, so no complaints here. One of 3 phone games I actually like.

That's true. It's mainly smooth on Tegra 3, but still gets some hiccups. It isn't a new SoC, but still stronger than most current SoCs.
