PS4 WD Sales: ~191,000

X1: ~105,000

360: ~51,000

PS3: ~35,100

(If my maths is correct)

Mario Kart 7 sold about 54k first week according to VGChartz. Since I assume MK Wii had the biggest launch in the series, that puts MK8 above 54k -- letting it fit comfortably in that gap between 360 and XB1 sales of Watch Dogs. Seems about right to me.

Woah! Massive week on all fronts. Watch Dogs with a massive debut!

Also for MK8, if it's the second best debut for the series, I'm assuming only behind MK Wii, then it's at least bigger than MK7 meaning >54k. So 54k>MK8> 105k.

So MK8's above 54k and below 105k in the UK?

Oh I thought Wii U would be number 1 hardware this week. I really didn't think Watch Dogs would boost PS4 by so much, but then I wasn't really aware of the exclusive content.

So Wii U with it's biggest and most reliable exclusive doesn't outsell PS4 with a game that's on 6 platforms, albeit with some exclusive content on PS4.

Even the MK8 launch and attendant major hardware boost is somewhat of an underachievement. You kind of feel like patting Nintendo on the head and saying "well done" in that way adults do to children when they win the " A for effort" prize.

Great start for Watch Dogs, Mario Kart and also Borderlands Vita.

Something for everyone to be pleased with this week!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Hmm. Hoped for more from Borderlands. Still a few thousand copies I guess, going by last week's number for PvZ 360. But it's the only western game of the year and Vita owners clearly aren't interested in buying it. WHAT ARE YOU ALL BUYING!?

Bloody excellent start from Watch Dogs. Can't say better than the highest opening for a new IP ever - cross-gen seemed to work really well for it too. And excellent opening from Mario Kart, too.

InFAMOUS plummeted this week. Thought all the new console owners would've pulled it up a bit, but I guess not.

Dat Borderlands 2 Vita port cracks the top 20? :O come on Sony... Imagine what exclusive high profile stuff like that could shift.

Quite a few Vita games charting this year. Already had more than 2013 I think. Looks like momentum is gathering a bit for the system.

Great MK sales for a great game and wow at Watchdogs. Though charting 2nd was good for MK considering its a single format title.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
