I read that somewhere too

shhhhhh! no freedom  of speech here! :(

Because there is not enough petty name-calling on other forums like GameSpot and N4G!

"Which is a lack of freedom of speech.
I am gay, but if somebody wants to
call me a faggot and tell me my
sexuality is wrong/sinful, they have
every right to do so. Freedom of
speech doesn't mean we can only
say nice things, it means EVERYBODY
has a right to say ANYTHING. This is
something that actually really bugs
me."

No, you have a fundamental ignorance of what freedom of speech is.

It doesnt mean "anyone can say whatever they want, everywhere," it means you dont jave to fear being locked up ny the hovernment for what you say in a public environment. Plus , that whole "first amemdment" thing is specifically a US constitution thing.

This is a private website and the second you pressed "Register" you agreed to the site's rules.

More often than not, people bring up free speech when they want to continue saying something dumb anyways.

I respect the website's policy of not allowing name calling. This sort of behavior would only derail what the website is here for.

@Bolded, this isn't always the case as not to long ago X1 was heavily undertracked in comparison to NPD numbers. I think it was around Februrary? not sure. Yes I too think IOI is inclined towards the Xbox brand. Nothing too wrong with that though. I consider myself a little bias for Sony.

VGChartz estimations are frequently off. Like how they've always overtracked Vita's performance for example.. yes, a Sony prduct. They've also been overtracking Playstation 3 quite often. I don't think it has anything to do with brand loyalty.

Fluctuations that favour one over another are always going to exist. 50/50 would give no reason to question the figures. Even a 60/40 or 70/30 could be expected for a brief time, but if you consistantly have a 90/10 then it's narurally going to raise eyebrows.

The PS5 Exists.

Solid Xbone numbers considering a cheaper SKU is right around the corner.

Great Wolfenstein numbers across the board. Well deserved.

Amazon has been the canary in the coalmine for these things, and xb1 is lower in ranking this month than last. These xb1 numbers are hugely overtracked.

Well, the PS4 is down from #3 April to #10-#13 last month.

Several people have also said that the PS4 did much better last month than it did in April.

Perhaps people should focus more on actual sales rather the site owner's allegiance, bias or lack of accurate numbers? And the whole freedom of speech thing is best left for the public space where it actually covers; this is a website with conditions for registry, much like all other sites of the kind and we have less tolerance for bad language, name-calling and other behavior of the sort since we believe it adds nothing to discussion and only serves to irritate and rile up. We are not youtube or gamespot, and thank god for that.

Stay on topic please, everyone. Have a nice day!

I doubt the ps4 did hugely better as April/May are slow months and $399 is not impulse buy territory for casuals/general market. There will be a golden opportunity for the first to reach $299 to get epic sales numbers from 7th gen holdouts, who still number in the tens of millions.

Regardless, NPD will show us ps4 at or just above April numbers, and Xb1 running a fair bit below that. WiiU may even have pipped a 2nd place spot above a stalled xb1.

Expect 220k-235k, 70k, 75k split.

I would like to think that whichever console has more units at retail would sell more during the holidays regardless of a $299 or $399 pricetag.

Considering that there are a lot more unsold Xbones at retail, I expect Xbone sales to exclipse PS4 sales during the 2014 holiday season.

Just if there is enough games and pent up demands... I don't believe we will have all consoles sold out in the Holidays, but that would be great for certain.
