if when its $199 there are no other blu-ray players nearly as cheap, and there are more games i would actually play, i would get it used. It would probably cost me about $120 ish used since i can use my gamestop discount on a used system.

I bought the 80gb for 500, and im enjoying every second of it.

You guys might not buy it for 200, but once the price drop hit, sales skyrocketed for the ps3, so if it does go to 200, even 300, wich it might soon, ps3 will start dominating the market.

2008 will tell.

@$299 it is too expensive for me. This is of course considering that I have not bought a Wii yet because it is too expensive for me... I'm unemployed.

@$199 is when consoles start to attract me. If the fun is there, so am I. Considering I don't have a large HDtv yet I would have to buy one first.

The thing that attracts me about the PS3, is that in the middle/late part of the systems life there can be some amazing looking games. I might want to experience those visual masterpieces, when they arrive. For comparison, MGS4 and FF13 are merely visually stunning; there is plenty of room for improvement in my mind.

There is not one single game, released or announced, that interests me on the PS3

because my Wii is all i need.
