Or secret malware when accidently clicking one. It's essentially my morally ambiguous internet condom. 

I am getting the weirdest pop-ups when i do not use those protection programs.

Nothing more annoying than just simply browsing game sites quietly in the early hours of the morning, only to have some damn advert pop up and wake your neighbours because you had the volume on loud at a "decent" time of the day earlier on.

And medicine is for pussies with weak immune systems, right?
