Once again I have to state, the question is not why do some people "not like" Watchdogs, it's why do so many people seem to literally hate it?

That seems to be the biggest reason I have seen. The Delay killed hype, but the graphics caused the hate. Given I don't blame them for downgrading the game. Maybe next generation they can get their wish.

Maybe some examples then? Cause like other people in this thread, I've usually seen people dissapointed with the gameplay, some not liking the downgrade, not interested in the game because of setting, story, etc. but not many people who are just "hurr durr Watch Dogs fucking sucks I hate it because reasons!!!!!111" Ohh and Youtube or Metacritic does not count, people bitch and moan, and hate everything there for any reason.

I personally don't like that it's not 1080p on the PS4, especially after seeing that the framerate is super solid on 30fps on PS4 currently, it seems they have some performance left in there (or are masters of optimization but  I doubt it). Still will get the game later in the year.

Most bitching comes from people that for one reason or another don't want (or can't afford) to buy the game and try to make themselves feel better about that decision by bitching about it. Same thing happens to a lot of games, especially exclusives. Mostly these are people with a low self confidence who only feel strong and vocal on the internet.

Its the internet people come on to hate, even when they have no interest in something, they would rather spend there time convincing others not to buy it, rather than talk about games they do like.

Well, the streams on PS4 yesterday were just chocked full of people trolling and saying they hated it and it sucked. And although you said metacritic I'm also talking about all the zero scores. I understand that's common practice but it's usually only seen this deeply on Sony vs. MS exclusive fights or competing games like CoD and Battlefield.

i wasn't accusing anyone here of anything and I'm not here to create a thread defending it either. I have nothing at all against anyone posting their complaints. Like I said, I like it, I've always like Ubi Montreal and I like fake hacking in games. But I'm not here to argue with anyone if they disagree. Just trying to understand better why trolls are so laser focused on it.

Sadly this seems to be very true. Also, don't forget completely entitled and self righteous.
