For the most part I believe Dark Souls 1 runs better, outside of the big blunders like Blighttown. Honestly, they did a bad job on consoles this go around. However, it looks and runs amazing on PC.

This game looks bad even on PC. It seems From Software is still using tech from the PS2 era.

They also penalize games for being difficult as many journalists are shitty gamers, but Dark Souls is advertised as a really hard game that everyone is going to die at, so they don't penalize the difficulty either, even when some places are bs cheap difficulty, like Land of the Giants being completely dark 1/3 of the way through, or Blight Town being harder than it should be because of the crap framerate plus the enemies who you get a virus from using poison darts from long range and poisoned from other enemies or the swamp in half a second.

Most reviews imo are bullshit and they rate the game how the general public is going to view it.  If they expect the general public is going to love the game, they'll overrate it to get hits on their websites.  Kind of like Final Fantasy 13 was scored high by all the journalists, then they backpedal and state how disappointing of a game it was and score FInal Fantasy 13-2 lower.  They couuldn't score it too much lower though since it was essentially the same game and everyone would realize how full of shit they are.  But when Lightning Returns came out, they had no problem shitting all over  that game since the gameplay was completely different.

You should see the neogaf thread on DSII, the downgrade of this games was immense. The game is great nonetheless but was From was showing before was damn near false advertising
