The Evil Within pushed back to October

Shinji Mikami's return to survival horror now set for October 24.

Today, we bring you some good news in shape of our positive hands-on impressions with The Evil Within, but also some bad news as the game has been delayed from August 29 to October 24.

At the recent event we were playing the game on PC as the new-gen console versions of the E3 demo weren't quite polished enough yet (presumably they will be next month in LA), and perhaps the two month delay is mainly to do with making sure all versions of the game are polished enough.

OK is delaying games just a new industry FAD now.

Damn one of the few PS4 games that might have some impact in Japan delayed. Good it's not delayed further.

Why not until 2015? Bethesda not in trend.

Pretty much every game releases with the lack of some content or has to get delayed (some didn't get delayed but the quality of those games shows it) and I read so often that development time is decreasing with all the great new possibilities.

So a game that was already likely to struggle commercially is delayed from August until October, to go against Madden, FIFA, Ass Creed, Alien Isolation, Dragon Age Inqusition etc.
