The two core mechanics of the game are shooting and driving. Both of these mechanics barely work. Sure you can still have fun, there are plenty of bad games you can still have fun with.

Great games (except 4, that was a major dissapointment), but highly overrated imo.

I'm bored of GTA games, but I can understand why it is so famous. San Andreas was the best in the series by far

I don't necessarily think they are bad games. I see why people like them. Personally, I cannot get into it. The premise and gameplay lose my attention extremely quickly. Everyone seems to think open world is the greatest thing ever to happen to gaming. I like open world, and call me crazy or whatever, but I like a little structure and dev forced influence on what I am doing moreso. I do remember first playing 3 in early '00s and being totally amazed at the new potential it brought to the table.
