"I think this guy makes the gap by himself. You have doubts that [Manchester] City with Messi can win the Champions League? Or Arsenal with Messi can win the Champions League? Or Chelsea with Messi can win the Champions League? Or Man United with Messi can win the Champions League? Don't you think? I think so."

I don't disagree honestly. When you have a player that consistently scores +50 goals a season and creates almost just as much, your chances will be a lot higher. We saw what Suarez managed to do at Liverpool. Imagine what a player much better than him would do. We saw Ronaldo make Manchester United the best team in the world before even reaching his peak. Having Messi or Ronaldo would make any top 4 team a team that can win all trophies. Even though Mourinho has spoken highly about Messi before (he said that he was the best player in the world cup and that he sacrificed himself for the team) I can't help but feel like this is a dig at Pep lol. Mourinho really hates Pep.

Yup. Not just Pep. Subtext all over. "You didn't win because you were a good coach, you won because you had Messi." lol

It's different, yet Barca never change the way they play, no matter what opposition they face. And yet Messi scored 4 goals against Arsenal in a single game. How many EPL teams, all forwards combined, are able to do that?
What indication is there really that he would struggle against other mid-lower table EPL teams? Saying that they are different than the top teams of the EPL is a strange argument, because the mid to bottom table teams in La Liga are also different from the top teams of La Liga. But the top players still handle it.

Messi is the type of player that creates chances out of nothing. And that's increadibly valuable to any team.

Yes, yes, we know, Messi is amazing. Scored 4 goals against Arsenal? Hmm, not many, but that is Barcelona, hmm ... Man U put 8 by them a few seasons ago.

Different style of play. Regardless of how good he is, I just don't think he would hit that 50 goals a season he is now, because no one is hitting that 50 goals a season, I don't think he'd do it in the German league either.

Hmm, maybe if you moved the entire Barcelona team with him.

Hmm, pie.

Watching mls right now! that match is great to watch and really entertaining!

Which match did you watch?

Houston got all 3 points at Toronto for their home opener. Felt good man.

I actually read a statistics around a year ago that showed that prominent EPL players moving to Spain have historically had a tougher time adjusting than La Liga players moving to EPL.

As for Messi? According to Mourinho, he would take that EPL team to win a Champion's League title:

"I am saying that a team with that boy is a different team, is a different story," Mourinho said on Friday.
"This season was the first season for many, many years that I wasn't there [Semi Finals of the CL], but, watching Messi, you don't miss being there!" the Chelsea manager stated.
"You enjoy it so much that you don't think about not being there. You just think about what the guy did."
"People think in the wrong way," Mourinho said. "One thing is a team. Another thing is a team with Messi. It is a different story."

"So, when people analyse teams, you have to remember that this boy makes everything different. He makes everything different."

La Liga showed how shitty of a player Beckham really was.

M.Owen didn't fare well, nor did Pennant and many more. McManaman was probably the most successful and that says it all.

This is the biggest load of tripe I've ever heard, Beckham is often touted as one of the biggest reasons for RM winning the league in 06-07 having forced himself back into the team and delivered top notch performances that drove Madrid to success. Beckham was a truly great player.

As soon as Juve made it through I wanted them to do well, as underdogs, I'm hoping them make it. I don't expect BM to win tonight but i think they'll put up a massive fight.

Hmm, pie.

Bayern- Barcelona (2-2)

Real- Juve (1-1)

Bayern will present a barrage of attack and Barca will be more deadly than the first match.
What will Barca counter attack look like?

Suarez and Neymar with Messi launching those 2 over and over again..

Without Robben and Ribery I just can't see how Bayern will win..
