Who would you start, a giant from Newcastle United who's the starting goalkeeper for several seasons and who's good at stopping penalties or a goalkeeper with an average height who has never stopped a penalty and is the starting goalkeeper at his club for half a year in the Eredivisie?

Oh yes definitely. I wouldn't entirely pin this defeat on Cillissen, but there definitely was a better choice in Krul.

We need a new Van der Sar .

So Cillessen in his career, out of 20 PK, never got one... He needs to train that.

But to be fair, it is more usual to blame the players who got their shoot defended. They are the ones with obligation to do it.
