Well Done England Under 20s, first major trophy victory since 66.

... probably the last. :P

Hmm, pie.

I doubt anyone here cares about confederations cup but as a Chilean we won't get much more chances to play one (if any considering our history lol). We've been playing like crap but it was the same way we did in other friendlies before we won Copa America 2015 and 2016 so I hope it goes the same way again lol

Madrid and Ronaldo again proving they are the best club and player in the world.

And I believe he scored again for his country recently.

Anyway I was at the Ireland Austria match the other day. Good Fun in the pubs before the match with the Austrian and Irish fans. Absolutely shit match until Austria scored and forced us to play.

So we beat Austria away and drew at home. Unlucky Rol!!!!!

Prem fixtures are out.  Brighton vs Man City first week. Saints fixtures are dull and well spaced out. :P

Hmm, pie.

Hopefully the USMNT decided to get their crap performance out of the way in a friendly and will lock it down for the rest of the Hex.  Pulisic is still the man.

I'm feeling much better about qaulification chances now.  Also, Bradley's goal in the Azteca was a thing of beauty.

Puel is gone. Not sure it's the best move, only giving him one season, getting to a final and finishing 8th seems pretty good but from what many fans say, that just it. Very uncreative football and finishing 8th when those below us had bad seasons too and like 15 points below 7th.

Oh well, onwards we go.

Hmm, pie.

Agreed.  On both counts.

Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently told Real Madrid he wants to leave the club and doesn't want to play in Spain anymore after being accused of tax fraud by the Spanish authorities... :O

Honestly, even if this rumour is true and he has asked to leave, I can't see it happening. I'm sure he and the club would work something out for him to stay, at least for now anyways. But him leaving suddenly just doesn't seem at all likely to me. Although if he did... where would he go? And what would the transfer fee be?

Los Angeles Football Club has been salivating over the chance to get him.  I'd say it's still a long shot, but they have some deep pockets and Ronaldo has the impact to make them pay a massive transfer fee.  Issue would be exactly how much Madrid would demand and if Ronaldo really wants to leave and would be fine with Los Angeles.

I wonder how much Real Madrid wants for Ronaldo if he indeed wants to leave. You gotta remember that the guy is already 32, it's not like whatever team buys him would get another 6-8 years of a world class player out of him.
