So I read Milan wants Lukaku and Sánchez

would be a step down for Sanchez

if he wants domestic and CL titles, he won't be getting them at AC Milan any time soon

Agree, Milan is not even in Europa League now and beating Juve in domestic competition will be VERY hard. I doubt it actually happens

That could be the case, but I still think they are half step above those clubs listed as of now. They would also benefit with even more money being on PL, but I'm not sure how it would affect. For me right now it's Real-Barca, then Bayern and then the rest.

I agree, I think they are above those clubs now. But with the added competition for the best players and no longer being by far the most reputable club in the league I also think they'd have a much harder time attracting/keeping the best players and would instead have a smaller piece of that pie, making it harder for them to dominate to the extent they currently do.

That's true, but even when dominating, it isn't as easy as people make it seem. Leipzig has been close this time, and Dortmund have been good oposition in the past.

What I mean is that Bundesliga isn't a weak league with just one team. German teams are very good but they seem "bad" when compared to this giant. This happens also with la Liga and Barca and Real, many think smaller teams are crap, but they actually have great results in European competitions (See Sevilla or Atlético)

But that also leads to one of the problems with German, Italian and to a lesser extent Spanish football. When another team properly challenges them as Dortmund did a few years back, Bayern just try and buy all their best players, Lewandowski and Gotze for instance. The same often happens in Spain with Barca/Real buying all the best players from other teams in the leauge. Atletico at least have been able to resist that though. That isn't as prevalent in countries like England, it still happens like Kante going from Leicester to Chelsea, but it is much rarer among the big teams. Similar moves between the top English teams or between Real and Barca are much rarer.

Just wish another German team had the money and reputation for players to want to stay there rather than being happy to leave the moment Bayern came calling

Agree

(I wouldn't add Serie A there though. Some of their big teams haven't been good lately but Milan, Inter and Roma to a lesser extent have to potential to rise back to their historical level. It's far from a one team league historically)

Well shit. Jesus seemed to be reinvigorating our season and now it seems like he could be missing the rest of it

Never great when new signings get injured so quickly. You do have Aguero as backup though, so that's something.

Hmm, pie.

Ha, yeah. Not a bad backup really

There was a match a few weeks back, Saints were playing Arsenal and some way through subs were made for both sides. Redmond was bought on for saints, Sanchez for Arsenal.

Sometimes talent really does stand out when a world class player is subbed on. And people expect us to be beating these teams week in week out?

Hmm, pie.

Isn't it Real Madrid that we hate?

Prediction: Barca will advance to the quarter finals.

Spanish football in general, but Madrid is the lesser of two evils.
