Deserved win for Real Madrid, even though they didn't really impress me with how they played. So glad to see that Pepe is still a cunt.

Germany just lost a friendly against Slovakia. A friend told me once that Germany would easily win the Euro, I'm still laughing. Props to Slovakia by confirming my 1% win chance for Germany this Euro.

Just read that story of the Mexican player who was rescued yesterday after being kidnapped for ransom by armed men, holy shit, seriously I know Colombia and Ecuador have reputations for madness as well when it comes to footballers but it amazes me the players still have the balls (no pun intended) to return to play for the national teams knowing what could happen.

There's a reason why players from Cuba seek asylum when coming here for tournaments. Things are pretty terrible in places south of the US.

Possible changes to the Champions League: "Specific options include more guaranteed entries for the strongest leagues, protected places for the biggest clubs, and playing matches on Saturdays rather than midweek to appeal to Asian and American audiences."

FUCK OFF. If the Champions League wants to generate money they could start by playing the knock-out round matches at different times instead of always playing at 20:45 CEST, causing multiple matches to be played at the same time for no reason at all. Why not half of the matches at 18:45 CEST and the other half at 20:45CEST?

FUCK OFF

Controling who gets to play on it is absurd, and only bad for football as a whole.

Fully agreed. If a top team has a shit season in their domestic league they deserve to be punished for it by missing out on the Champions League the next season. Imagine how stupid it would be if Chelsea would get a CL spot next season even tho they finished 10th or if Dortmund got a spot this season even tho they finished 7th in the 2014-2015 season.
