2. Bosnia and Herzegovina
3. Ukraine
4. Ireland
5. Slovenia
6. Hungary
7. Sweden
8. Norway
9. Denmark

I think of the third place sides Ukraine qualified and rest go to playoffs, correct?

Turkey qualified as the best 3rd place team.

My bad, wasn't sure about that.

Wow the Dutch looked like they couldn't kick shite off a rope, the Czechs could have sent 11 men from the local pub the give that mob a thrashing.

I agree! He's simply not the player he used to be! There's a reason why he's not at United anymore.

It's absolutely disgusting that a player can be called up based on the reputation he build up through his career while his last good performance was against Spain, 16 months ago. Same goes for Depay, this guy is called up based on the fact that he did good in the Mickey Mouse League while he hasn't done a single thing properly for the national team since the World Cup, or is it just a coincidence that Depay is shit every time he plays a decent team?

Not really. Even in the Premier League, Depay has struggled a lot recently! Against Arsenal he was anonymous.

you have to be pretty bad not to qualify for the euros now,it doesn't mean i am not pleased for the smaller football nations who now get to a summer tournament as they deserve it but the groups are pretty pointless for top seeds now how can you fail with top 3 places

Fuck us...  i really don't know what happend.. its like we are missing a generation of players between age 23 to 28..

that is what some dutch journo said on the bbc radio when they were asking what happened to you, that they are missing an inbetween gen, you'd still think the much praised dutch system would have good enough players for a play off place though

have belgium stolen your players?

they also said that koeman was the man most wanted and they chose hiddink was it?,can't quite remember now

And as of last season Man City are profitable and completely debt free. Not many clubs can say that! Things are looking good for us

what is so impressive about this

they are backed by an arab royal family with limitless funds who have pumped over a billion pounds into he club which city don't have to pay back

same with chelsea over 1 billion pounds which chelsea don't have to pay back

how can they not be in debt

Other clubs have had owners pump plenty of money in to them as well. Not all of them were debt free though and it certainly doesn't guarantee profitability. Look at Portsmouth for example...

don't think portsmouth were bought the same kind of players as city or got a 300m sponsorship deal for nothing

don't get me wrong i like city and am glad for their fans to be on top for a change but it is because of a countries family oil welath pumping in unanswered money for years (like chelsea) and not some kind of prudent finacial master plan

Well we kinda should have 2 great teams in the of age 25 to 29.. they were european champions under 21 in 2006 and 2007.. with 22 different players.. but only Huntelaar and maybe Vlaar became above average senior players and the rest just failed and playing in (below)average teams now.. Babel, Drenthe, Emanuelson, Maduro, Affelay and a dozen of others kinda all failed choosing the right path for their careers.

So we have a huuuge gap with the generation with an aging Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, Huntelaar and the newest age 18 to 24 with Clasie, Wijnaldum, Depay, Klaassen, El Ghazi.. talented but not stable enough.. The worldclass talent of Robben in 2014 and worldclass talent of Sneijder in 2010 has covered a lot of the problem but with the age and injuries they couldn't do it again for us.

Koeman was the chosen one in the eye of the public but the higher ups not impressed with the pressure chose Hiddink.. I actually don't think Koeman would have done better with the missing players in the age of 25 to 29..
