Forums - Music Discussion - Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse

Mariah Carey's new album "Me. I Am Mariah" has been released in the UK today. After five years of waiting after her last studio album, I have to say the new album is incredible. So worth the wait. Mariah has never sounded so emotional and confident before and it translates into what is, in my opinion, her best and most coherent album. Ever. I'm sure lots of you here won't like Mariah much, but I'm such a huge fan, I had to make a thread. It's an amazing week for me as a Mariah fan and a Nintendo fan. A new album and Mario Kart 8 in one week! It's good to be alive!

Chart update w/c 01/06/2014:

Australia - #5

United Kingdom - #14

USA - #3

I'm in love with the whole album, it's amazing. Meteorite and Heavenly on repeat, just addicted.

Oh gosh yes I know right?! I love Cry, Thirsty, Make It Look Good, Thirsty, You Don't Know What To Do and Meteorite! But I got to be fair, I love the whole damn thing. Played it 5 times since I got it this morning. Good to know there are other fans out there 😊

Worst album title ever?

Not really a fan, but her voice is flawless. I admire her so much! It's doing pretty good at Metacritic, btw.

I wish DG released something once in a while too. Kinda the opposite of this singer, but it's my cup of tea.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Who's DG? :)

Got it today!

Good to see the Queen of Music still has it!

I think it's her best album since Butterfly....my fav songs are 'Beautiful', 'Thirsty', 'Make it look good', 'You Don't Know What To Do, 'Heavenly', 'Camouflage'...and the best one 'Meteorite'

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Yes I agree! Best since Butterfly! Which was previously my favourite album of hers - may now have a contender in this album!

Her boobs always confused me. Sometimes they would look huge and then other times they would look a little small.
