lol WAY too early to deem it the JRPG of the generation, especially since most of the big JRPG developers have yet to even announce any next gen projects aside from Square. Let's wait till something like the Tales of Series hits the PS4/Xbox One before we make these claims :P

I don't think it's too bold of an idea. I mean Xenoblade Chronicles is largely considered the JRPG of last gen, so why not the sequel?

For one, the game isn't out yet and it's extremely early into the generation to say this one will beat all the ones left to come. Besides, haven't we learned in the past not to judge a sequel by it's predecessor? I'm sure X will be good, I own a Wii U and I look forward to it but it's just too early. I also don't think you can say Xenoblade was the best of last gen when last gen had so many amazing JRPGs to offer like Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia & Xillia, and Nino Kuni.
