I honestly don't understand the comparison of the Wii U to Gamecube in terms of Games. The library of the Wii U so far is certainly more developed then its competitors, but it isn't exactly memorable or even that good so far.
I mean if 2/3? of the Wii U's best games are coming out this year, then what exactly was the last year filled with?
Not to mention the fact, that the Wii U's future library is practically devoid of third parties, which the GameCube had a lot of, not as much as the ps2, but alot more than the Wii U.
Of the top of my head I can think of: DKTF, 3DWorld, SLW, NSMBU, Zombiu, Rayman, Wonderful101..Rayman being the only one I thought was good (despite being a 3rd party made by Ubisoft)

Sales wise I understand the comparison, but game wise, no I don't think its even close right now. Especially not with 3-4 game releases per year.

That's funny, people said the 3DS wouldn't pull a 3DS.

Does... anyone expect it to?

Zero999? he told me once MK8 releases is going to make the WiiU outsell the PS4 LT

It's not going to happen.

Nintendo absolutely needs have a steady flow of releases in the months after MK8, which they failed to do after SM3DW. And right now it doesn't look unlikely that Hyrule Warriors will be their next game, in late August. It is their only other game with a release date. It is possible that Bayonetta 2 will be releasing in July, and I really hope it will. X looks like a autumn/winter release, and I would't be surprised if it gets delayed till Q1 2015 similar to DK:TF.

My main problem with the Wii U is still the tablet controller. Nintendo has developed a habit of trying to innovate control schemes, but they often make them mandatory for all.

The DS forced us to use a touch screen. While there were a few select games where this control scheme proved useful most of the games didn't need it.

The Wii Mote worked with a few select game... but with most games the WiiMote was just not working well. The Wii left a sour taste in my personal opinion. It could have been a great experience if the WiiMote would have been optional.

The 3DS forced me to pay for a 3D effect that I do not need and that I will never need in the future... Well, at least you could turn it off and pretend that it doesn't exist. But still I had to pay for a feature that I didn't want.

The Wii U tries to force me to buy a tablet controller that I have never asked for...

Why can't Nintendo try to make these things optional? By trying to reach out for the blue ocean they are losing out on their traditonal fans. Especially now, where Nintendo is having a hard time with 3rd party support they should try to offer their hardware at a lower entry price.

What is the reason for me to buy the Wii U. What do I gain from this tablet controller? A second screen - Dreamcast offered it too and it was almost useless back then? Assymetrical Gameplay - never asked for it? Off-screen gaming - thats what handhelds are for... I mean you actually buy a console to play on your tv screen. That is actually a main feature of a console.
