Forums - Gaming Discussion - A game series you were reluctant to get into

I expect to see the Persona fans back in this thread when they finally play SMT Nocturne and DDS. Also, anyone who hasn't played Brigandine.

I bought Nocturne and DDS when GameStop was selling them for $3 each. They're both very good games, however I prefer Persona more, but it doesnt take away from the fact both are fantastic games. Never heard of Brigandine though

To be honest, Final Fantasy series.
Since I was a kid I loved The Legend of Dragoon and I had a friend addicted to the FF franchise, he used to talk so much of FF that I got little interested to actually play it, he was passionated for FF, almost, as I was to LoD, so he was hiperbolic all the time and I relucted to get into the games fearing they wouldn't be as good as he described, but when I give a try I loved too, not as much as him, but loved.

Oh yeah? I'm fairly new to FF. Didnt start playing it till late 2011, when I took a chance and bought FFIII DS and loved it. I never had any friends that were big into the series at the time so the only thing I knew before playing the games was that I loved the music

Silent Hill is that game.

Sad to say, mine is Animal Crossing.

This.

I got it for Christmas in 2008 for the Wii, only tried it twice from then until summer 2009.

Once summer hit and I got into the swing of things, I logged in about 5-6 hours a day, having a blast at every moment.

resident evil watched a friend play the first and was like oh GOD at the loading doors, puzzles and bad voice acting wasnt till a few yrs later when i got into horror movies that i decided to play RE1 played all the main games but aint to happy with RE5 and 6

COD again watched a friend play MW and even played split screen 1v1 death match with him wasnt till a few yrs later after mw2 came out. lots of hype and media exposure that i decided to play em started cod4 right before BO came out played and finished all of em from 4- ghosts my favs are MW 1 and 2 and BO1 didnt really like the directions of the last two outings

He actually is one of the biggest reasons I still haven't played FF7, because it was he all time favorite game and he described the whole game to me trying to convince me to play... lol
Luckly he didn't spoiled FF8 to me, and it seems to be the one who would fit my taste better of the 3 PS1 main titles.
Maybe someday I buy it on PSN, but I would preffer to get a actual copy and play at my PS1... but I'm not in the mood to go back to the PS1 right now xD
I loved the games I played too, but the first one I gave a chance, after de FF1 at the NES was FF7: Dirge of Cerberus... man, what a wrong game to get into the franchise.
I was hoping it to be like the FF7 of the PS1 but was a shooter spin off... almost got me out of interest for the franchise, but FF12 bring me back, such a amazing game, if the story was better it would be a 10/10, the gameplay is awesome.

FF12 is awesome! A bit underrated, I get Star Wars vibes from it though

The Elder Scrolls. Played a bit of Morrowind back in college but didn't care for it, played a bit of Oblivion at my cousin's when he first got a 360 and still didn't care much for it. Then Skyrim came out, and 150 hours later I'd say I'm pretty into this series now.

Also Assassin's Creed... just didn't interest me, then I played and beat 2 after getting free with XBL Gold, and I just picked up 4 not too long ago and loving it.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
